Well kept cottage with lots of nice touches.

  • 5 of 5

Lovely cottage in great location. Well kept and well equipped. The details didn't state that there is a dish-washer and we were delighted to see that there was one there. It was clear that lots of thought had gone into making this the perfect cottage for a short stay. We would definitely recommend it and hope to return.

Fantastic cottage

  • 5 of 5

A great, clean tidy and well decorated cottage in a lovely village. Very well equipped and comfortable. Belinda left us a great hamper with treats ( even some for the Dog!). Lovely court yard garden with plenty of seating. Steep staircase to second floor but bar that everything fantastic. Next door to a friendly if a bit quiet pub which serves food.

Cosy relaxing cottage with great attention to detail

  • 5 of 5

Home Cottage is a cosy retreat in a great location

Pub oneside and a very well stocked village store the other.

Spent 5 nights over Christmas had Christmas Eve dinner at the Worsley Arms hotel ! Found a fabulous hair beauty salon that also was a very cute shop and coffee house.Spa bakery is a must visit the baker baked me croissants for Christmas as he had run out on Christmas Eve !

Great walks locally.

I would definately recomend Home Cottage the wood burner was a big hit with my husband!

A great stay in a pretty village

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is homely which is always great on an extended stay. Very pretty friendly village with convenient amenities. A little small for two dogs but very welcoming none the less. Sadly the shop next door whilst being the shop you need, it attracts customers and deliveries from very early in the day. So no lie in for me. Still it gets you up and at it! The 2nd and 3rd beds are in the eaves so not great for the less mobile. Could do with more cooking trays and dishes and a big bowl but I'm really nit picking here! Essentially if you want to walk in deepest Yorkshire this is the cottage for you. Right next door to castle Howard and other tourist hot spots. There's a hotel and eating pub in the village and a couple of pretty tea rooms for your enjoyment. The cottage is warm and cosy with the required log burner to wind away your evenings. You won't be disappointed.

Gorgeous cottage in a perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

A gorgeous well equipped cottage in the most perfect location for visiting North Yorkshire! Clean, tidy and very well equipped the cottage had everything you could need and more. We had a lovely stay and the owners couldn't be more helpful. Plenty of lovely restaurants and pubs within a short drive, bike ride or brisk walk - including a couple of Michelin star ones too! We had a lovely week and hope to be back one soon.
