The home is welcoming and open in a quiet, picturesque neighborhood with stunning views over beautiful stone walls and lovely meadows. My father built this home himself in 2001 from the ground up. He put attention into every detail and continues to update the home and property yearly. The house is cozy yet spacious, a perfect vacation rental. This house is his pride and joy and he treats it as such. We love sharing this beautiful home and having other families enjoy it as much as we do.

My dad has lived on Block Island for over 30 years and built many homes on the island. This is by far his best work in the perfect location. Surrounded by stone walls, farm homes and the greenest grass, you feel like your living in a story book while relaxing in this beautiful home.
You will not find another house as clean and pristine. Enjoy relaxing inside with a cup of tea or sipping wine on the front porch while the kids play in the front yard. Bored? Talk a quick walk into town and back, several times throughout the day, every time returning back home to peace and relaxation. The house is open yet the bedrooms feel very private each with their own full bath. Grill for dinner outside or enjoy a home cooked meal with family in the dining area. This house has it all.
The house is clean and comfortable - well maintained by the owner, Joe, who has a cottage on the property and is always available if you need help. The house has everything you need for a family/friends vacation - easy walk to town, grocery, restaurants and the beach. Beautiful wraparound porch with plenty of rocking chairs are perfect for relaxing or reading. Ensuite bathrooms in 3 of the bedrooms make for easy house sharing. We'll definitely be back!
Very clean and nice. Better than pics. Joe was friendly and available. His house is in excellent shape. 3 of the bedrooms have great ensuite bathrooms and fourth bedroom on main floor has a full bath as well across the hall. Great porch for sitting and relaxing in a rocking chair. Close to trails, beach, town. You won't be disappointed. I loved the outdoor shower!
We just returned from a great stay on beautiful Block Island. This home is full of charm and wonderful finishing details. From the wrap around porch, to the beautiful hardwood floors and furnishings, to the beautiful bathrooms. The home and kitchen are well equipped. The home is larger than in appears on line. Three of the baths are ensuite and the half bath is a wonderful outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The property is nicely located; a short walk to town and some of the beaches, but away from the town noise and congestion. Bring your bikes to ride around the island and your yard games to enjoy in the very large flat yard. There is a nice collection of books but bring DVDs if you want to watch movies.The owner lives quietly and privately on the property and is a great host. The home fits 8 quite comfortably though the indoor dining is tight for 8. There is a large picnic table outside though weather permitting. Make sure you get up early during your stay to catch the beautiful sunrise out the kitchen door.
We stayed with friends at Joe's place last year. The house is spacious and beautiful, and was great to share with three other couples as each bedroom has its own bathroom. Its in a great location - close to down town and the beach. Joe and his daughter Kelsea were super nice and responsive in all of their communications with us. We hope to come back soon!
We spent 7 nights as this beautiful, special home and will do so every year as long as we can. Beautiful property, spacious home, great location and a wonderful owner that made sure it was all that we expected. Easy to deal with and make happen. Can't wait for next year.
