Great Long Weekend with friends

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was wonderful. The Vermont Barn townhouse was spacious and very close to Okemo mountain. The hot tub was a bonus after long days of skiing. We would definitely stay here again. Clean, comfortable beds and owner was quick to be in touch with.

Would gladly visit again!

  • 5 of 5

This updated house has a cozy, but uncluttered feel. We stayed there with 4 adults and 4 kids and the rooms have a lot of space. The property is well maintained and the friendly owner made himself available and answered questions PROMPTLY! The location is good-easy to get to the mountain (only minutes away) and for the non-skiers fast access to nearby towns (Ludlow is only a few minutes, but we went all over VT, including Montpelier). The garage is spacious which made the unpacking/loading a breeze. The mud room is awesome-well planned out. The hot tub was a hit. I would recommend this place to my friends. We cooked the entire time during our visit but had an EXCELLENT meal at Downtown Grocery in Ludlow. Singleton's General Store was a hoot to visit, but we also ventured to the Vermont Butcher, Grandma Miller's Pies, Longtrail Brewery & picked up a variety of VT cheeses from the Wine and Cheese Depot in Ludlow. Too bad we couldn't take advantage of the adjacent to the barn snowmobiling-there was no snow--luckily the skiers had lots on Okemo & best conditions!

Great location in a wonderful house

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this property. There were 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 3-9). It was large enough for all of us and the kids enjoyed playing with the air hockey table. We went skiing at Okemo, which is only a 10 minute drive away. The house is open and comfortable. Having the two car garage was essential, as the temps went down to -22 at night. Burr!

We did get to use the hot tub one evening, which was fantastic after a cold day of skiing.

The property was clean and well-maintained. The owner was very responsive to emails. We didn't need to call or text him.

My only suggestion is that there be at least a roll of paper towels, napkins and a dish towel in the kitchen, so renters don't have to run out and purchase them when they arrive.

Great weekend getaway house

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 3 nights with 8 people in the house. It had more than enough room for everyone. House is easy to find and only a few mins from okemo mountains. Owner was very responsive and accommodating. Will definitely come back!

New Year's stay in Cavendish

  • 3 of 5

My family rented the condo/barn with another family for 4 nights over New Year's 2015. We had a total of 9 people between us. This rental is in a great location and only takes 5 minutes to get to Clock Tower base lodge at Okemo mountain. There is a snowmobile company on the property which we didn't utilize as there was too little snow. Inside the condo, there were plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. The hot tub was an enjoyable bonus right outside of the kitchen. The rental included all of the linens and there were plenty to go around. We found the kitchen to be lacking in drinking glasses and utensils. Please get a non-stick frying pan for the place, it makes life very easy for bacon and eggs in the morning. We think the place deserves some area rugs to cozy it up a bit. The owner is super nice and easy to work with.

Fantastic Weekend

  • 5 of 5

A group of 7 friends joined up for a weekend of snow. The house was spectacular. It had everything we wanted and needed. Great kitchen. Grill. Hot Tub. The garage was nice to accommodate the vehicles so we didn't have to shovel out every morning. AND the neighbor who owns the snowmobile rental place plowed the drive way! So very nice. In the future, if interested in renting snow mobiles book early from the neighbors. They are so great but limited in the number of snow mobiles for rent. Okemo was close and convenient to get to.
