About Piera

Piera and Sandra, we are two sister that own this family property together.

Sandra is a psyocotherapist in Milan, married to Fabrizio her husband for many years.

Piera , a retired computer science professor lives with her husband Yossi in Boston.

We have always loved this place, and have spent wondeful summers with family and friends.

Piera purchased this villa in 1900

Why Piera chose Loro Piceno

This property used to be part of the farmland owned by our grandfather Enrico. In times when Italy's economy was mainly agricultural they used to grow here wheat and olives.

We transformed it to our holiday home many years ago.

What makes this villa unique

you can stay and have tomatoes, salad fruits and many other homegrown vegetables, in the right season. if you arrive in November there is a lot of work to pick up olives (almost 250 olive trees) and you can help or simply watch and enjoy

Spectacular villa with pool within walking distance of a small city

  • 5 of 5

We had a party of six - four adults and two teenagers - and the property was perfect. It was exactly how it was described in the VRBO listing.

Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to choose from, a pool to wash off the road dust in the afternoon and a delightful small city just up the hill. The caretaker was there each morning to clean the pool and to answer any of our questions. It is in a nice central location for day trips to many historic sites and interesting little cities to visit.

The Marche area is a little known/little visited gem. Not a whole lot of English is spoken, but the people are so warm and friendly because they are not besieged by hoards of tourists expecting everyone to speak English.

Do yourself a favor and trust your instincts - visit these great small cities, use Trip Advisor to help you find a restaurant and slowly pick your way through some amazing menus and wine lists. Our usual price for a more than bountiful lunch with water and vino locale was about 22 Euros each.

A delightful week in a beautiful villa in stunning surroundings. Highly recommended.

This really is a beautiful elegant (and very spacious) country home, set in wonderful grounds

  • 5 of 5

We had a really fabulous holiday at this property which has fantastic facilities including comfortable beds; spotless modern bathrooms, lovely kitchen and super modern pool. We spent leisurely days by the pool or at the coast (about 45 minute easy drive). The local village was very quiet (perhaps all the locals were on holiday!?) but we enjoyed a lovely meal in a restaurant in the heart of the old village, and also some great ice-cream from a local cafe. At the property, the gardener was really friendly and supplied us with fresh vegetables and plums daily from the grounds. The property was also kept spotless by the cleaners. Although we did not have any disabled guests with us, the ground floor bedroom/lounge/bathroom suite was really super and we could see that it would suit someone in a wheelchair or with mobility difficulties very well. The pictures on the web if anything didn't do the home justice! We also found the owner Piera delightful to deal with and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to other families.
