Drawn to Stuart in 2000 for boat captain school, I fell in love with the small town charm and water activities.
My wife and I are both originally from North Carolina; however, our hearts and home are in Stuart.
Alan & Nora Burroughs purchased this house in 2001
The neighborhood was originally homesteaded as a pineapple plantation along the Saint Lucie River.
The building overlooks the river, a waterfront park and the beautiful Roosevelt Bridge. You will love the walk through historical streets leading to the boardwalk that connects downtown Stuart. The home was built by a Stetson University trained attorney, however his passion was building. Mr. Walton built the home as well as the The Lyric Theatre in 1920.
The original Dade County pine floors were meticulously removed, cleaned and installed. The historical features have been preserved.
Excellent spot, close to everything. Perfect condition with lots of amenities. Owners very nice and helpful.
