Our home at the border of the National Park is a treasure. Inside it feels like you have stepped back in time with the pine paneled walls and cozy feel of days gone by. Step out the back door and follow the trail over the creek right into the park…or easily walk into Gatlinburg and ride the Gatlinburg Trolley home. The back porch runs the length of the house and is a great spot for quiet reflection and relaxation as you listen to the sounds of LeConte Creek running by. You will find 2 bedrooms on the main level (1K, 1 twin). A double vanity master bath with walk in shower was recently added and there is another full bath that was completely renovated on the main floor. The kitchen is fully furnished and opens to a dining area and gathering room. Upstairs are 4 additional bedrooms (1 Queen with trundle, 2 Doubles and one room with Twin beds) and two bathrooms. The homes in this area are reminiscent of the Elkmont area and many are private residences. The Mynatt Park neighborhood is one of the best around with outdoor basket ball court, tennis and pickle ball courts and playground for small children. This is definitely the house for family memory making. It is easy to get to in every season and the convenience of the location means no winding mountain drives or difficult parking.

Outlet Shopping in Pigeon Forge is nearby. This house is a walk into Gatlinburg and located close to the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community. In the last 2 years we have updated light fixtures, plumbing, bathrooms and the additions of a Master Bathroom on the main and laundry room. Wifi and cable T.V.

About Mary Kane Rhodes

Our farmhouse was built in 1937 and was originally owned by my Great Grandfather. We purchased this home from my mother and now are the third generation owners so it is a very special place. LeConte Creek farmhouse has been a place for celebrating holidays and enjoying lazy summer getaways. We put this home on VRBO to rent it lightly. If you are looking for a new cabin with all the high tech features, hot tub and gaming...this is NOT the place for you. This is the perfect spot for relaxing and taking a break from the world around you, getting immersed in the people you are with, coffee and wine and enjoying the surrounding creation.

Perfect getaway!

Your home was the perfect getaway for our end to spring break. The home was clean, in great shape and super comfortable (cozy but certainly not crowded). We were able to walk to downtown easily and (even better) to walk right out the back yard to an unbelievable trail in the National Park. We will definitely spend every trip to Gatlinburg and the Park here. Our ONLY suggestion: adding an iron and ironing board.

Our entire family, ages 3 to 83, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We loved it inside and out. Loved the ambiance and history of the home. We definitely hope to stay here again.

Great location, lots of character, and right by the national park!

I stayed there for a team retreat with 6 people and it was perfect.

While this doesn't have mountain vistas, it is literally right across from the national park, and feels tucked away even thought it's really close - and walkable - to Downtown Gatlinburg. It's super easy to get to instead of having to worry about windy, uphill roads where some cabins are located. We also loved listening to the creek on the covered porch.

The kitchen is big and perfect for cooking together. The wifi is also great. The house is clean and modernized. We'd definitely stay there again!

Great property in a great location

My family really enjoyed our stay. The location is great, and we were able to walk to the strip for dinner (its about a mile). We also drove into town and to Dollywood every day. The drive to Dollywood was our main concern before booking the house, but it was not a bad drive at all. Our kids loved the creek behind the house, and the adults loved sitting on the screened porch with the sounds of the creek in the background. When you cross the creek, you are on a hiking trail at the border of the national park. The house was clean and very nicely decorated. It was the perfect blend of modern amenities with the charm of an old farmhouse. We will try to stay again in the future.

Excellent! You

The house was quaint yet very sizeable; it handled our group of 12 adults very well. We made great use of the modern kitchen, cooking most meals in which added to our fun. Very clean with very comfortable sleeping quarters. You'll love the sound of the rushing creek when you sit on the porch in the evening! Great house!

Our family stayed here for a week and it was so accommodating! With downtown Gatlinburg a short walk, and the Great smoky National Park being right on the border, it was the perfect spot! The drive to the grocery store isn't bad (especially while taking back roads to avoid traffic on the strip of downtown). The rooms in the house are spacious, multiple bathrooms and showers. Our favorite spot in the house is the screened in porch. No bugs!! We've stayed in different rentals near Gatlinburg and throughout different states. I am totally honest when I say that this was our favorite. We can't imagine staying anywhere else the next time we come to the Smoky Mountains!

I prefer to book personally and not through this site. I take a personal check for 1/2 the rental (less cleaning) within 2 weeks of booking. That secures your dates. 30 days before check-in balance is due. Rather than utilizing damage protection here...I prefer another check for $500 at time of final payment. I will hold that as security and will return check to you in full upon inspection at check-out.

This rental is a personal vacation home and not a back to back rental. Manager is not on site. Please call with questions or concerns

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
