WATERFRONT POOL HOME, MINUTES TO KEY WEST, CONVIENT TO RESTATURANTS AND LOCAL ATTRACTIONS. A perfect vacation get away.

Three separate living/sleeping areas.

1)Main house is fully appointed with flat screen TV, DVD, DVR, Comcast cable, Bose surround sound, 1 large Bedroom with queen bed and a Full bathroom with tub and shower. There is also a Washer and Dryer and a full kitchen with all amenities.

2)Down stairs of the Main house is a man cave with a futon that will comfortably sleep 2 children with its own bathroom. Great pool bathroom.

3)Guest house has living area down stairs, and bedroom with queen bed and bath upstairs.. Water view from the Balcony. 3 TV's, 4 Stereos.

Outback and located next to the canal, there is a private heated pool, exterior shower, and boat access. By the pool there are chairs for lounging by the pool and even a super large umbrella for when the sun is too intense. Since this home is located on a large canal, you can tie your boat up to the seawall. We have cleats along the wall and power and water for your convenience,. We can accommodate small and large boats.

Great location for a quiet relaxing family vacation

The house location is perfect for both bad and good days in the keys. If the wind is blowing down the keys you can take the day and run out back to the gulf side to play and snorkel around Contents, Snipe, Barracuda keys. Be sure to stop at Tarpon Belly keys and catch the old truck remains and the failed shrimp farm. If it's a calm day you can run out to Looe Key, American Shoal, or go offshore fishing. If it's a sunny afternoon run over to picnic key off little Palm Island and catch sunset from there with a cold beer or a glass of wine. It's what the keys are all about.

The house itself was well laid out, with areas to break away to your self or large enough living area for all to gather together for dinner. The beds were comfortable AC was nice and cold. The pool was awesome to get into after a long day fishing. Having two standard size refrigerators, one upstairs and one downstairs was awesome. We kept our ice and overflow drinks in the downstairs refrigerator and then prepared meals out of the upstairs refrigerator. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans etc. As other's have said being on the runway was a neat novelty. The planes taxing by was a highlight, more than once I went out to the runway to watch a Cessna 210 or a Beechcraft Bonanza land or take off, it was too cool. Neighbors were all very friendly, and personable as they walked their dogs in the morning and afternoons.

The only things lacking were a cleaning station for fish cleaning, and wood or plastic bumpers on the cement sea wall for boat tie off. So if your bringing a boat be sure to bring bumpers, the cement sea wall is solid all the way down, so bumpers will work for all tide changes. There is a boat ramp right at US1 and entrance to the subdivision on the North side of US 1 at the east end of the frontage road. The ramp is a little rough and small but usable for 21'ft or under boats.

The house was perfect for our stay and Frank was very accommodating and quickly responded to questions or requests. If it wasn't for the Monroe county imposing ridiculous regulations against private dwelling weekly rentals I would be bugging Frank asking to reserve the house again for next year. It was really a nice place and we would love to stay there again.

Great property and great location

We loved this property! With three separate bedrooms this was perfect for us. It's gave our friends and our son their own bedroom/bathroom and privacy. Great communication with the owner as well. I would recommend this house and would definitely stay again the next time we visit the Keys. Very homey feeling and we felt at home and very comfortable during our stay. Easy access to the grocery store and restaurants and a quick commute to Key West.

Amazing Property!!!!

This was our first time in the Florida Keys and we fell in love!! This home was everything we needed! We have 3 children ages 14, 12 and 8. They LOVED the pool! It was perfect! My boys enjoyed being right on the private airport strip and ran to front of the house every time they heard a plane!

The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with everything you need. We ventured out a lot and found some our favorite places! Boondocks Grill & Putt Putt had amazing food and was fun for the whole family. We also drove up to Marathon and went to the dolphin research center. That was a great experience.

We definitely will be back down next year! The only down fall is that this property no longer rents for 7 day periods, only monthly, or we would book this property again. So we will have to look elsewhere on the keys. All in all, if you are looking to book this property, you wont regret it! Its location is perfect!!

Great Location!

Summerland Key is a great location to navigate all activities on the Florida Keys. This home was a great home base for our family. I would highly recommend for couples or small families. The home was clean and in a fun area with canal in back and airport in front. The pool was well cared for and our kids enjoyed a day of swimming. Overall, Frank was very accommodating and checked in with us upon arrival to make sure our needs were being met.

Best 3.weeks ever

Frank is an extremely conscientious and accommodating host. His goal is to make your trip hastle free and memorable. The home is well appointed and clean. The well outfitted kitchen includes a beautiful set of Italian pots and pans and Henckle knives. The pool provided a dream relaxating spot. An interesting aspect is the house rests along a private airstrip and small planes occasionally take off. The noise lasts less than a minute and isn't intrusive.

We would dash out to watch them take off or land. We enjoyed the novelty of it. Many houses along the airstrip had hangers underneath for the small planes The local assistant Amy was quite helpful with questions and is available to clean the house if you have an extended stay She does a fabulous job cleaning. Summerland Key is a great location. It is away from the Key West congestion, quiet but central to virtually anything you would like to do. Kayaking, fishing, back country tours, great restaurants and all amenities. We would recommend Stewart next to the Shell station near the turnoff to the island for boat and Kayak rentals at a very fair price and wonderful service. Christmas in Paradise

This house was a perfect getaway for our Christmas vacation. The house is everything and more than is described. The separate sleeping areas worked well for my family. The house is an easy drive to Key West or Marathon. Great access to local fishing grounds. All channels are clearly marked making in/out access very easy. Mr. Stokes is very easy to work with and is a very gracious host. I highly recommend renting this home, you will have a fantastic vacation!
