Family gathering

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a grand time at the farm We are a family of eleven, coming from across Canada. The kitchen was our favourite room. It was well equipped with china, pots, pans, small appliances, bake ware and even tea towels. We love to cook and prepared many favourite snacks and meals there. Two sinks made cleaning up easy. We ate there, as well as on the large deck, played board games and cards. The basement provided the children with a cool area to play ping pong and read.

We are soccer fans and watched the World Cup. There is a media room with a large TV, so all could enjoy the games together.

Beds are comfortable and bedding sufficient. It was very hot for much of our stay, but when the weather did change, blankets were in the rooms.

Would we return to the “farm”? In a heart beat. We have many good memories of our stay to treasure.

Amazing home on a beautiful property

  • 5 of 5

14 of us (3 families with kids between 4 and 7) stayed for a week in March, and we absolutely loved our time here. It’s a very well equipped home with lots of space. The eat-in kitchen is amazing for large groups. It has an island, two sinks, two fridges, a large pantry, and new appliances. There’s a large pine table and a smaller pine table, which can easily fit groups of adults and kids. There’s a games room in the basement with ping pong and foosball, and a tv room and a living room on the main floor, so people can spread out and kids have plenty of room to play.

The beds are very comfortable and two bedrooms have en suites. All the bathrooms are very spacious.

We highly recommend this home and we hope to return soon one day!

Idyllic and Lovely Home Away Indeed

  • 5 of 5

Two families spent a wonderful 10 winter days together with extra friends too at this charming and very comfortable property. The location was amazing....separated from neighbours by fields and forests...and the house was perfectly suited and appointed to accommodate all us adults and children age 5 to 8. Plenty of space and large rooms, common rooms for children and adults and a large family kitchen that is one of the best stocked I have ever visited - with great appliances, extensive cookery and solid tableware. The owner was gracious, flexible to our needs and quick to respond to any questions during our planning and stay. Our arrival was well organized. Drive to Sutton village and skiing is 20 mins tops. Snowshoe and X-country right out the door. I highly recommend it in winter - and we look forward to a visit in summer too!

Family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family felt very privileged to spend a week in this wonderful home. Three generations, raging in age from 7 to 73, found lots to do, room to group together or find private spaces, and cook in the well stocked kitchen without getting in anyone's way. We all enjoyed the pool, tennis court, fire pit and many other amenities. The beds were comfortable, there were lots of linens, and the area is so quiet that on more than one morning we all slept in way past our normal wake up times. The house is beautiful without being stuffy and we all went home feeling very relaxed. As an extra bonus the owner is a dream to work with.

A beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough about David and his house. It was incredibly spacious for our two families - and more than enough to do for our kids who ranged from 5 to 19. Our kids loved breaking out to the pool, ping pong, tennis, and yard - and I think I was happiest that there was enough room in the kitchen that we could cook together and all fit around the tables to eat and laugh together every night. The house is well kept, with plenty of space, and some great books and music to browse. Knowlton is a lovely town, lots of trails to explore on foot, bike and dirtbike, and we also enjoyed an easy drive to Montreal for more site-seeing.

Dave was attentive in helping us plan our vacation - and we all sent him our deepest gratitude our last night when we were sitting around the fire feeling appreciative of our vacation together!

Treat yourself and your family - you will come back relaxed and happy from this great experience.

Peaceful haven

  • 5 of 5

My family and I loved staying here for our week vacation. The house is big enough for 2 families, the pool is comfortably heated and fenced in for safety, there is a tennis court and a little park for children to play. All this is on the property for you to enjoy. The best part is that it is very private with lots of landscaped land. Will definitely be back!
