About Ariane de Gerard

I am thrilled when my guests are happily surprised upon their arrival and leave rested and overjoyed by their stay. I just love hearing "oh Ariane we are so sad to go. There are so much more to see, to do etc that we did not have time to do this year can we come again next year. We just love this place?"

My aim is to welcome the guest as if they were family I love getting to know them , knowing what they like and advise them on their perfect outing our lovely Périgord . I am passionate about this region.

Why Ariane de Gerard chose Vitrac

A mixture of a will to save the family heritage and a enjoyment in sharing my love of this exquisite countryside. There is so much more to discover around here than one expects, great exchanges between people, territories and all the eco-tourists

What makes this cottage unique

This XVIII century farmhouse is typical of the Perigord Region . You will be able to see the ancient drying tobacco barn . You have a feeling of travelling in time and being sent back there. Newly renovated the cottage is fully equipped to modern days needs

with no neighbour it is ideal when with small children the park has a very agreeable size and it private access to the river has to be noticed .

Beautiful house in a stunning location with a wonderful host

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at the house with our young baby. Ariana the owner could not have been more helpful.

The house is spacious and cool on summer, great kitchen. The pool is fantastic and looks out over the valley, totally secluded, but within easy walk of camp sites down the road if you don’t feel like cooking. 10 mins drive from a number of Chateaus and pretty villages, as well as supermarkets. Great place for a family holiday in truly beautiful surroundings.

FAB-U-LOUS!!!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful property and setting.

Ariane greeted us and is a lovely lady. The house is extremely well equiped from cuttelry and crockery and towels and bed linen and she also leaves what the previous occupants have left so all basics for the kitchen are there, the follwing property we stayed at removes EVERYTHING and was very stingy with towels and bedding! Fantastic area, lots of places to visit, Chateaus galore (Milandes has a bird of prey show), Grottes galore, can thoroughly recommend kyaking on the Dordogne, my 1st time and felt safe and sound.

You wont be disappointed here, we would definitely stay again,

Thank you Ariane De Gerard for a fabulous stay!

Perfect for Us

  • 5 of 5

The house & surrounding property are even nicer than they look online. The house was very comfortable & well equipped for our family of 4 adults, a baby, & a toddler. Lots of toys & informative guide books, and everything we needed for the baby. We enjoyed the great big dining table & new downstairs stall shower, & the comfortable living area. Sound carries in the house, particularly upstairs, which was sometimes a challenge with sleeping children. The salt water pool was great & lit up at night looked beautiful. The owner was very attentive & her son cleans the pool regularly. There's a path to a small beach at the river that's a 2 minute walk away. The house is perfectly situated for short trips to Domme, Sarlat, Beynac, La Roque-Gageac, & many more lovely villages in the area. Shopping & local markets are also close by. We had a wonderful stay & enjoyed our time here. Highly recommended!

Vacances en famille

  • 5 of 5

Superbe !

  • 5 of 5
