About this property

Penthouse renaissance palace (1459)

URBANI Renaissance Palace is a palace of 1459 in the center of Monte San Martino, a village in the hills of the Marche.
The reasons to stay here now, after all, are similar to those that induced, six centuries ago, to build it in this village by the balance perfect. Certainly for the charm of its history and its environment, but also for substantially equidistant, in terms of travel time, to be at sea or mountains.
You can then decide to spend the days relaxing in his spacious, light to read a book, painting or just sunbathing in the terrace, away from any prying eyes, enjoying the stunning views in every direction. Or consider it as a starting point for routes in 20-35 minutes, leading to the Adriatic sea with its sandy beaches or the mountains, the National Park of Sibillini mountains, the cities of Ascoli Piceno, Fermo, Macerata . Or simply the discovery of a shy and beautiful region, its history, its culture, its art, its cuisine and its wines second to none.
In the evening, then, to return within its walls, stern and reassuring to have dinner, maybe by candlelight on the terrace and enjoy, in total silence, the colors of the sunsets always different and unique and discover a new way of life, so new and so old.

Magnifique

Wonderful apartment with amazing views
This is a truly fabulous apartment in a beautiful and unspoilt part of Italy. Encompassing the entire top floor of a restored palace, the views from the large open roof terrace are in a word spectacular. Fantastically well equipped and stylishly furnished this is a great base for couple, friends or a family to explore this wonderful region. The hilltop village has a small shop and a fantastic family run restaurant serving great traditional Marche food. The property owner lives on the ground floor and is charming & incredibly helpful – although he does not speak much English. There’s also plenty of parking close by and the village streets are not too narrow! One thing to note is that the shared pool detailed on the website does not belong to the palace but is a community facility so if might be best to check in advance with the owner as it is likely to only be open during the main summer holiday period – but the nearest beach is only c50 mins drive. All in all, cannot recommend the Palazzo Urbani highly enough.
