About Elisabeth ATZINGER

Why Elisabeth ATZINGER chose Avignon area

Having been living overseas for now several years, I did not want this beautiful family house to stay closed and neglected throughout the year, so I decided to propose it as a vacation rental, enabling numerous guests to enjoy its charm and spend fine holidays.

What makes this house unique

Close to the historical center, which you can reach on foot (10 /15' walk).

Large garden with beautiful old trees, swimming pool and sundeck with summer kitchen/barbecue and in the colder season, a very comfortable house, very well fitted with modern equipment.

Ideal location for a 'no car' break

  • 4 of 5

This holiday home was in an ideal location if you want a relaxing break WITHOUT a car. Ten minutes walk and you are in the centre of Avignon. Five minutes walk to the main train station (not TGV) with rail connections to the surrounding area. Ten minutes by taxi to TGV @ 15euros.

From start to finish the owner Elisabeth was extremely helpful and responded to any queries within a matter of hours.

4 adults and 2 small children .......couldn't have had a better base. The pool was ideal for the 2 little ones with shallow steps right across one end and plenty of shade.

The only downside was the mosquitos, take plenty of repellant and bite cream.

A perfect holiday home.....would definately book again.

Wonderful week in Avignon

  • 4 of 5

Two sisters, two brothers in law and two nieces spent a very pleasant week at Villa Camelias. Kitchen was well equipped and we made good use of it. Fantastic chance to use all the amazing produce available in the local market. Beds very comfortable and plenty of space inside and out for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves. WiFi was the best and most consistent we encountered anywhere. The garden is beautiful and we all enjoyed sitting by the pool after a day of sightseeing. The owner/manager was extremely helpful and responsive. One word of caution for drivers - we were driving a full sized minivan. Rue des Camelias is very narrow. Getting into the driveway was a little tricky and getting back out was very challenging given the angle. Just take it slow

Absolutely Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We (3 adults) stayed at this property for a week in late October 2014 and were entirely impressed with it.

The house was clean and well maintained, the kitchen was well equipped and the rooms were comfortable. The garden is an amazing space.

The owner/manager was incredibly helpful, all emails and enquiries were answered promptly and comprehensively and the person that met us at the property was also very lovely.

There was a lot of information on local attractions and tours in the house and the location of the house was central to all things Avignon. Avignon itself is a great base to explore this part of France - we visited Arles & Nimes from here as well as a couple of half-day tours to the Pont du Gard and Bau.

We have recommended this property to others and we hope to visit again soon

Charming home near center of Avignon

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house in late May 2014. It was a perfect fit for 2 couples and 2 children. This 19th century home is nicely updated with a good size yard, parking for 2 cars, privacy and quiet behind high walls, recently renovated baths and kitchen, and a cute pool. It's also very close to the city walls of Avignon and a 10 minute walk to the heart of the old city. Just lovely - we'd rent again in a minute!

Great house - central location

  • 5 of 5

We were looking forward to this property and it didnot disappoint. Everything was as described and the caretaker was charming in showing us around. The pool was a bonus and was used even though it was October. You can walk everywhere as the main part of Avignon is within 20mins of walking. If arriving by train at the Avignon TGV station you will need a taxi. Would highly recommend and have done so to friends already.

Lovely property walking distance to Avignon

  • 5 of 5

The house is great, has everything you need and is spacious, secure and comfortable. The garden is delightful - shady areas and full sun. Our children made full use of the swimming pool. It only takes about 10 minutes to walk into Avignon and there are some grocery stores and a couple of bakeries just around the corner too. We didn't have a car for the week, but found plenty to do in Avignon and went on a tour of the Carmague, booked through the tourist office. Avignon is a very friendly city to which we hope to return one day! I thoroughly recommend this property.
