Apartment situated in a House Palace which sums up the true essence of Sanlúcar architecture. It is the Palace did Godoy to her lover and is located in the high neighborhood. The building has a courtyard with columns and arches where the floor is located. There is also a historic garden with its source with Palm trees, orange trees... The building completely rehabilitated in 2007, so it is in a virtually new State.The home is fully equipped and has a private patio. The living room has a dining table with four chairs, as well as a sitting area with television. The master bedroom has a double bed, while the other bedroom has two beds. Splendid 15 night stay in affordable and comfortable apartment.

The two-bedroom apartment is located on the ground floor of a converted former mansion/palace and is very safe/secure, with access to the entrance courtyard achieved through a large wooden gate from the main street. The accommodation was very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. White goods include a very efficient washing machine and there is a roof terrace with washing lines to which a key is provided, where clothes can be hung and dried in the sunshine. Because of its location off-street we found the apartment to be a comfortable and peaceful place to stay. We were able to self-cater successfully as well as enjoy food at two excellent and very reasonably-priced restaurants in the same street where the property is located. For example, a three course meal for three adults at 'The Loli' bar cost 27.50 euros (meat-based) including a small bottle of excellent 'manzinilla' sherry and a three-course meal at 'El Arquillo' restaurant cost 37 euros (seafood-based, including a main course fish plate,) including a bottle of good white wine. Two large supermarkets are located within a fifteen minute walk or five minute drive from the apartment and there are local shops very near for strolling out to buy fresh bread, sandwich meats and 'other items in-between main shopping runs. Supermarket prices for both food and wine offer excellent value and include a wide range of produce, including excellent hams, fresh rabbit, 'grand reserva' red wines at 2.99 - 4.99 euros a bottle and many other treats. Prices were so good that we significantly underspent our budget. Apartment owner Federico is a charming, and helpful man, a professor at the university in Seville and an architect. We greatly enjoyed his company when he kindly gave us a lift into Seville on a day he was returning from a local beach. His kindness extended to coming to the bus station with us in Seville to ensure we purchased the right ticket to get home. A lady called Rocio looks after the apartment. She is very friendly, having waited out on the street to be able to greet us warmly on our arrival. The prices for the apartment represent outstanding value for money in our opinion. A vacation could be enjoyed locally with day-trips out by bus, but we found that car hire greatly enhanced our touristic experiences. Parking in town can be challenging, but we always found a space. We also firmly recommend learning some basic Spanish for shopping etc. as very little English is spoken!

Owner's Response: For me it has been a pleasure that Andrew and his family has enjoyed his stay in my house. It is an excellent family and I recommend to the owners to lodge to this wonderful family. In spite of the barrier of the language, we could speak with a great warmth and know details of our lives and our country. I would like to return to coincide with them.

"Clean and comfortable flat in quiet and very attractive building. Just inside the historic part of the town. A bit hard to find at first due to one-way streets. Owner welcoming and helpful."

Goed voor de woning maar negatief voor de stad (blijf daar aub niet langer dan 1 week!)

Woning is uitgerust met alle noodzakelijk en goed materiaal en met goede bedden (ook belangrijk!). Eigenaar is heel behulpzaam. Enig minpunt: er komt te weinig natuurlijk licht binnen en om te weten of de zon schijnt moet je de straat op...Maar het positieve overweegt duidelijk.

The building is located in one of the areas with more authentic taste of Sanlucar: the high neighborhood. There are palaces, churches, warehouses, Castle, and course, numerous tapas bars. Through the typical Cuesta de Belén is a neighborhood below where is located the City Hall and the shopping areas. To get to the beach, continue along the road of the army and see the unique beauty of the beach and the Doñana National Park.

Sanlúcar de Barrameda is an ideal place for numerous activities. Related to gastronomy, we can mention the Manzanilla wine and seafood, as well as sailors stews. In connection with the sport, is a place famous for its horse racing and Equestrian activities. Among the most interesting excursions is the visit to the Coto de Doñana, and Jerez de la Frontera, famous for its wine and their horses. Seville is located 100 km.
