Enjoyed having the family together for Thanksgiving. The house was clean and well-equipped. Transactions went smoothly and owner's emails were always friendly and helpful. The initial description says 2 bathrooms so I assumed it meant two full baths, however, it was one full bath(very tight shower) and one half bath. I didn't read the details carefully or I would have caught it. We missed not having better television reception during a holiday weekend of football but we just visited with each other more! Read all information and description carefully and you will have no surprises and will enjoy this rental.
This is a beautiful house in the country. The owner was super helpful and friendly. The on-site manager was also very friendly. The rooms and the furnishings were very lovely. We would definitely recommend this house to our friends and family.
We stayed here for 4 nights while attending a family reunion in Mt. Sterling. The house is nice and comfortable and we couldn't ask for a better price. My only concern is that it is not a good place for anyone with mobility issues or young children. My brother has copd and it is quite a climb to get to the front door (there are signs asking you not to drive/park on the grass and there is no driveway up to the door). We had to go in from the basement and up some very narrow (almost scary) stairs that had no railing at all. Also the keys wouldn't work except in the padlock on the basement door making our options even more limited.
Again, it is a nice place and a great price. Just be careful to think about who will be joining you there.
This was a nice country home with a outside country feel even though it was pretty close to town.
The owners and the guy helping them with the property are very nice people.
The only complaint I have is that I was told there would be internet there by the time I had our stay booked because a family member needed it to work from this location because he's and IT Tech and we didn't have that.
Other than that, it was a nice place to stay with plenty of places around it to do activities.
Very spacious. Clean and adequately equipped. Stairs and climb to enter home was a bit of a challenge. Very private and relaxing stay. Owner very nice to work with. Van Buren county beautiful country to visit. So peaceful and relaxing.
