About Tatiana Zenkevich
St.Petersburg is my native city and I would like to share my love to this inimitable city with my guests.
Local Services & Businesses
A haven in St. Petersburg.
We are a mature couple who were travelling by trains and ferry from London to St. Petersburg so it was obviously vital that we had a home-from-home to relax in when we finally arrived.
I booked this apartment because of the encouraging and superlative reviews and every single one was spot on in their lavish praise.
This was particularly the case with the marvellous 'land lady' Tatiana who unfailingly answered our many queries before our arrival.
As others have stated she tackled all the paperwork needed to successfully obtain a visa; no mean feat I can assure you and sent us links to book various venues such as Peterhoff and the Hermitage.
She even suggested we might care to go to the ballet and a classical concert. We jumped at this opportunity and, not only were the tickets she booked us cheap, but our seats at the ballet were ones that only local knowledge could secure.
By the time our train pulled into the station at a minute to midnight we felt that we were 'old friends'.
There we were met by a smiling Tania who'd even bothered to ask our Coach number so that she could be right there on the platform.
We also met her delightful daughter Elisaveta who owns the apartment and we were whisked away for a tour of the city. It was very useful in helping us locate the places of interest and we gasped at the opulence and grandeur.
When we arrived at the apartment Tatiana had so kindly bought water, milk, bread, meat and cheese for us as well as baking a cheesecake and giving us a box of sweets.
As if that wasn't enough she had loaded up cards for the metro with ten journeys apiece and showed us on a map where the metro was, supermarket etc. etc.
By this time it was 2a.m. but she still answered our queries and showed us the facilities.
I must say that there was everything we needed and more. Hot water in the shower, dishwasher, washing machine, clothes dryer, iron, hair dryer etc. It is by far the best equipped holiday rental I have ever stayed in and you can imagine that, because of travelling a long distance by train and therefore not wanting to lug around heavy suitcases the washing machine and dryer were a boon.
The flat was in a block with trees around and we felt very secure there.
We shopped easily at the local supermarket and ate at a tiny Georgian restaurant next door on one evening.
The metro whisked us into the centre in 20mins and we walked our legs off all day in this incredible place.
Thank you dear Tania. We await you in England!!
Dear Vivian and Paul, THANK YOU VERY MUCH !
I have got so much joy, friendliness and sincerity from communicating with you and I look forward to our next meeting!
Very comfortable apartment within 10mins walk of metro station and essential shops.
We very much enjoyed our stay in the Apartment. It was like borrowing a friend's house - we were invited to use the food in the cupboards, and the dishwasher and washing machine did most of the chores for us. The jacuzzi was fun to try out, but the shower was much more practical and very efficient. All necessary shops - supermarket, chemist, bank, post office - were within 10 mins, but I would recommend an English to Russian dictionary unless you speak Russian. Don't rely on your mobile to look up words - the signal in the flat was great, but neither phone could connect elsewhere. Tatania was extraordinarily helpful with everything from booking tickets to finding gluten free food for me, and really enabled us to make the most of our stay.
5 nights In St Petersbury
My husband and I visited Russia for the first time in May. Tatiana was excellent and helped us with our Visa required “Invitation Letter” for the entire trip, not just the time we spent at her Apartment.
It was like having a friendly relative helping us – organised ballet tickets, was waiting for us at the airport and took us to the Apartment, she pointed out various tourist spots on the way, provided Metro cards, baked us a cake and had food in the freezer, helped us set up ‘WhatsApp’ to communicate, organised a taxi to take us on to our next accommodation, and lots of helpful information about places in the area.
Our Apartment was a short walk from the Chernaya Rechka Metro (Blue Line) and near the McDonalds. On Wednesday there is a local market outside the metro. Markets had food, clothing and much more at cheap prices. With the Metro card we felt like a local navigating the metro with ease. Advantages of riding the Metro’s is they are attractively decorated with art. We got off and on at each station to view the different artistic designs and significant. Tatiana suggested the main ones of interest. It is only 3 stops away from Nevsky Prospekt where it is near The Church of the Resurrection (the church of the spilled blood) and other main tourist attractions.
The Apartment was clean and roomy with a separate bedroom. Pictures on the website accurately depict the Apartment. We had 5 restful night’s sleep at the apartment. We always felt safe in the area and it was nice to see outside the main tourist area.
Nothing was too much trouble for Tatiana, she warm and inviting. She freely gave her telephone number and encouraged us to text/phone whenever we had a question. St Petersburg will hold special memories in our heart. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
We would definitely recommend staying in this Apartment, especially with the invaluable assistance's Tatiana provides to her guests.
I am thankful to my dear guests from Australia for such warm words and really hope to meet with them again!
very good for small family
We visited with two teenage kids. Four people felt very comfortable. Apartment could accommodate one more kid, no problem. Place is very close to the subway and 2-3 stops to the city center. Area feels secure, people on the street courteous and helpful. There are many good eating places nearby. Ask Tatiana for recommendations. We liked small pancake stand near subway for our breakfast. For cooking apartment has well equipped kitchen. Buy your vegetables from paddle near subway or on the street. Much better and cheaper than in supermarket nearby. Overall could not find better base to explore Saint Petersburg.
Thank you very much and welcome one more time!
A great place to stay in St. Petersburg
This apartment is conveniently located and very well maintained and equipped. Tatiyana, our host, went out of her way to make us enjoy our stay. She even cooked a cheesecake for us and picked my wife at the airport.
I will definitely stay here again.

Tatyana did her utmost best for us. She's the ideal person to rent an apartment from..
She is well taking care of her guests; invitation for visa was settle.
We are used to travel on our own but it was quite comfortable she picked us up at the train station, she advised us a lot when to visit what.
The ballet at Marinsky was an unforgettable experience !
Her apartment is excellent, so nice to com 'home' there after a long city visit.
