Central location! Walk around one home to the beach. Or walk a couple of blocks south, and you're on the beautiful bluffs above the Pleasure Point cliffs with exciting surf, coves and ocean watching spots. Watch surfers, dolphins, seals, sea otters, and perhaps a whale. Surf (or take a lesson), kayak, explore tide pools, picnic, or ride bikes.

Within a 5-10 minute drive (or a 15 minute bike ride), you are at the famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, the quaint beachside resort of Capitola Village, or on downtown Santa Cruz's Pacific Avenue, home of boutique shops, restaurants and cafes, and world-class entertainment.

Incredible!

Our family has rented vacation houses for the past 15+ years and this one is top of the list. From the fully stocked kitchen to the very well appointed living areas (bedrooms, bathrooms, etc.).

The location is incredible (views of the pacific and access to 26th street beach)! The property manager (Kerstin) is very responsive and she has everything covered from beach chairs to spices in the kitchen. Great place and we highly recommend it!

Excellent Accommodation

I've been renting accommodation in Santa Cruz for many years, including hotels, B&B's, apartments, condos, and houses. I have to say that Villa Vista is the best of the best. We rented the upstairs apartment, and it suited our family, perfectly. Diverse ages, ranging from 14 months, to 65 years old; and various degrees of activity ... everyone had a wonderful time, whether surfing, playing on the beach, or simply sitting on the deck with a glass of wine, soaking in the views. Property manager, Kerstin, is very responsive, and helpful. We are happy to recommend VV as a most excellent ocean front Santa Cruz getaway, and are already planning a couple of 2016 sojourns.

Villa Vista is a paradise for both surfers and non-surfers alike. The upstairs unit has sweeping ocean views overlooking several sought after Santa Cruz breaks. The surf is just a few steps from the door. There is a luxurious outdoor warm-water shower to rinse off and plenty of storage for your gear. For the non-surfers in your group, the Villa Vista is an amazing retreat from the ordinary.

The breathtaking 270° views are augmented by the gallery-worthy paintings depicting beach scenes hung throughout the home. It is very calming and allows one a privileged vantage point for watching the surfers and those on the beach from a place of privacy and comfort.

The bleached wood ceilings, furnishings, skylights, wrap-around deck and expansive windows somehow transform the interior space to remain bright, cheerful and cozy even on the foggiest of days. Although hard to drag yourself away from the windows and the mesmerizing views they afford, all of the necessary conveniences are only a minute's drive away. Incredibly scenic walking and biking trails abound. Villa vista is indeed a wonderful private sanctuary not to be missed!

Family tradition continues

My family has been enjoying Santa Cruz for the last four generations. This pass weekend we stayed in the upstairs unit of Villa Vista and our family enjoyed the million dollar view and the comfortable living area along with the three bedroom - three bath - everyone had room to spare. We enjoyed watching the surfers and families on the beach by day and the glowing fires at night. Villa Vista is our favorite spot and we look forward to many more stays in the future. Surfing Trip

Gorgeous place, close to major Santa Cruz attractions and an amazing view from the house are some of the nice things about this place.

We were lucky and everyday from the window we saw dolphins, wales and of course seals.

Kerstin was very kind and always was there when I needed to talk to her.

I would stay there again and I would totally recommend this place.

On the Beach

The whole family had an amazing time in your beautiful beach home. My granddaughters played for hours in the big waves and loved the bike trail. We all enjoyed sitting on the deck and enjoyed sitting on the beach in the chairs that were provided. Nice kitchen but do need to fix the microwave. All in all, we had a fantastic time and plan to return! Thank you!!
