As a small family with a 13 year-old girl and a 16 year-old boy we love to welcome guests since we ourselves love to travel and to know places as if you live there. We are passionate surfers, kitesurfers, pianists and yogis (Sivananda teacher & vegans). Un grand appartement fantastique

What a lovely apartment, well proportioned and the decor and furniture très magnifique. We had a lovely time, the flat is centrally located in a charming area, full of lovely bars and restaurants. The flat is literally 5 minutes away from the Chalet Halle, and a short walk away from Notre Dam. Don't worry about finding a good restaurant or bar there are just so many in the area around the flat. The owner made us feel very welcome, and so relaxed. I would recommend this property to anyone and we certainly will be returning.

Great location near restaurants, metro, Notre Dame.

I was apprehensive when we arrived at the address. It was flanked by boarded up storefronts & three tents of homeless people on the sidewalk. However, the outer door had a security code which led to a quiet courtyard. A second security coded door led to the stairs of the second floor apartment. My security concerns subsided. I always felt safe and secure inside the apartment. We often left the windows open for a breeze & a glimpse of the activity below.

The master bedroom was located on the interior courtyard side so it way always quiet. The master bed was very comfortable. The bathtub was quite tall for my short legs to climb into. The second bedroom does get street noise. The kitchen was small, but well equipped.

The apartment location was great. I enjoyed the convenience to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and metro stations. It was a short walk to the Pompidou Center, Seine River and Notre Dame.

I would recommend this apartment to anyone and would stay there again.

Great location- beautiful furnishings

The apartment was in a great location. It was around the corner from many restaurants and walking distance to many sites. The apartment was clean and had beautiful furniture and decorations. It was fun just looking at the decorations. The apartment was maintained and the amenities worked. The owner was quick to reply to my questions through VRBO and personally meet me at the property on arrival. The owner was also quick to return my security deposit. I would recommend this property to my friends!

cental paris apartment

We really enjoyed our stay. Johannes met us on arrival and departure. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4. It is great location. The building is very old (we liked this, really tall ceilings, a lot of classic French details, radiator heating wood stairs). Would stay here again - it was just perfect for us, couch for teen to relax with his phone. Had a dining room table that was great for parents to lay out plans for the day.

The property is located right in the heart of Paris and do convenient for visiting all tourist sites

The property is very beautiful but the kitchen is difficult to use as it is so very tiny. The only problem we really had was the noise from the bar opposite. This stayed open till the early hours and at the weekend was extremely loud. It is fine in the main bedroom but my children had to sleep on the floor in the main bedroom as far too loud.

Owner's Response: As can be seen on the photos, our kitchen is perfectly operational. It has been appreciated by all our guests. Of course, it is not huge or for more than 2 people heavy cooking at the same time (as did these guests). There is even a desk to have a quick snack or breakfast for 3 persons when one does not want to use the dining table. The flat is ultra-central. Hence there can be on a warm Friday or Saturday night some drunk person being noisy for a short while, never as written here for a long time. This is central city life. Usually, even in the second bedroom, one can sleep calm with only the other windows in the flat opened. The master bedroom is to the main inner courtyard, very quiet. Some guests can be difficult and have weird exagerated opinions, this happens unfortunately. Please look at the wonderful appreciations of all our other guests.

Elegant and wonderfully convenient, perfect for music lovers

The apartment is on the second floor of a quiet block at just back from the Boulevard de Sébastopol, 5 minutes walk from the Centre Pompidou, and no more than 15 minutes walk from Notre Dame. Patisseries, bakeries, small and large supermarkets are all close by, as are many restaurants of all types.

The flat is warm, comfortable, beautifully furnished, and has a grand piano which gave us hours of pleasure. The kitchen has everything one could possibly need, including a washing machine although we didn't have cause to use it. We had use of the owner's computer, which was helpful, as well as good WiFi broadband both in the flat and in much of Paris. The beds were on the firm side, and there is a bit of noise from the bars and restaurants nearby but we slept well.

The owner, Johannes, was there to meet us and to say goodbye. He has been helpful, kind and solicitous throughout, cheerful despite us delaying him by getting confused by the metro on our way there, and accommodating of our travel arrangements on our departure. He could not have been more helpful and thoughtful and really made this a special holiday for us.

The most central RER (fast) metro station Les Halles is only a 2 minutes walk away, hence most convenient when you arrive from one of the airports (40 minutes) or the Parc des Expositions (suburb trade fair center), or when you want to visit Disneyland with your kids (45 minutes direct connection). METRO stations Rambuteaux and Hôtel de Ville are also in a 5 minutes walking distance.

In all, there are 4 RER lines (A, B, C, D), 5 metro lines (1, 4, 7, 11, 14), 15 BUS lines (21, 29, 38, 47, 58, 67, 69, 70, 72, 74, 75, 76, 81, 85, 96) and many night buses nearby.

When you go to the TRAIN STATIONS Gare de l'Est (German destinations, line 47) or the Gare du Nord (GB-Eurostar or Belgian destinations, line 38), buses next to our entrance door take you there in 5 minutes.

There is a good public underground CAR PARK in front of the house with preferential rates for you.

Just next to our entrance there is a 'Vélib' CITY-BIKE HIRE station.

4 stations for ELECTRIC CITY-CAR RENTAL ‘Autolib’ are also nearby.

On the Boulevard de Sebastopol you will easily find a TAXI/CAB at any time, but several taxi stands are also close (Châtelet, ...).

Before your arrival, we will send you a map with directions depending on your mode of transport. Do not hesitate to ask us in english, french, portuges, spanish, Deutsch or italiano for any further information.

This stunning flat is in a very safe area, ideal for sightseeing, fooding, shopping, hang-out, meeting people and culture! All the magical places of the city are within walking or short cycling distance! The vibrant direct neighbourhood counts numerous fine restaurants, food stores, sidewalk cafes, bars, delicious bakeries and shops (la Samaritaine, le BHV, the haute couture boutiques of rue Saint-Honoré, the Rue de Rivoli, etc..).

A short 4 minutes walk takes you to the modern art museum Centre Pompidou with its lively public square next door and the Stravinsky fountain, to the Théâtre du Châtelet and the Théâtre de la Ville, to the island Ile de la Cité with the Sainte Chapelle, the Conciergerie and bird market, to the Marais area with its Place des Vosges and the Rue des Rosiers (the perfect Falafel and delicatessen destination), to Les Halles shopping mall with many cinemas (almost 40 screens !), to the magnificent town hall Hôtel de Ville with its ice rink in winter, and to the river Seine with "Paris Plages" in summer and its Batobus (river shuttle service).
