Easy reach by motorway from Faro (40 min) and Seville (1 hr 20 min) airports.Costa Esuri is just two minutes drive from the last motorway exit on the Spanish side before the bridge leading across the River Guadiana into the Portuguese Algarve.

The golf resort of Costa Esuri is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, right on the River Guadiana that forms the border between Spain and Portugal. Look out for the flamingos, storks and wild ponies as you cross the bridge into the resort. Miles of unspoilt countryside lie right behind the apartment, with rolling, pine- and cork-oak covered hills as far as the eye can see.

Just 5 minutes drive away is the traditional but bustling town of Ayamonte. Take a gentle stroll round the shops in the picturesque, winding (and pedestrianised!) streets. Relax over a drink or a meal at one of the many excellent restaurants and tapas bars in the pretty little squares, or by the marina. The perfect place to try the local specialities of Iberican ham, and seafood straight from the local fishing boats.

The nearest beach resort is Isla Canela, just a few minutes' drive from Ayamonte. Miles of golden sands, friendly beach bars and a range of watersports make for a perfect day out for the family. With sandy beaches within 15 minutes' drive on the Portuguese side as well, you will be spoilt for choice. There are 30 km of uninterrupted sandy beaches on the Spanish side of the border alone, most of them 'blue flag'.

The Cartaya waterpark is only 30 minutes drive away. Riverboat cruises up the Guadiana provide an opportunity to relax (and eat!) amidst stunning scenery. Go-karting, quad biking, fishing, cycle hire and horse-riding are all available too.

Excelente apartamento longe da confusão

Excelente apartamento, muito bem equipado para 6 pessoas. Fica em zona residencial a cerca de 20 min das praias portuguesas e da Isla canela. As piscinas disponíveis são pequenas mas muito bem tratadas e com existem várias não ficam muito cheias. Existe um Miño-mercado a 5 min de carro para as coisas básicas (pão, água, bebidas diversas), tudo o resto terá de ir a ayamonte ou a portugal.

Appartement tres agreable

C'est avec un accueil très agréable et pleins de bons conseils que nous avons découvert l'appartement. Cet un appartement très bien équipé et très confortable, sa terrasse est bien exposée. Nous avons l'ombre toute la journée et le soir on peut profiter du coucher du soleil. La résidence est calme et très bien entretenue. Les piscines sont légèrement un peu petites.Par contre les accès au plages espagnoles ou portugaises sont très facilement accessibles. Les visites de Séville et de la ville El Rocio sont incontournables.

Apartamento sossegado com uma vista fabulosa

O apartamento está muito bem equipado e limpo, a varanda tem uma vista espectacular para a paisagem circundante com um pôr-do-sol fabuloso todos os dias. Podem-se fazer caminhadas ou jogging pois o local tem excelentes condições para essas práticas desportivas. Tem duas pequenas piscinas num jardim muito bem cuidado.

Pontos menos positivos, a urbanização fica muito isolada e obriga a deslocações de carro mais ou menos demoradas para ir para a praia ou à cidade mais próxima. Tivemos também alguns problemas/aborrecimentos com a empresa que gere o apartamento em Ayamonte, mas que foram solucionados rapidamente quando contactamos os proprietários.

Owner's Response: We are sorry to hear about the problems that Mariana had with our property management agents. We have already apologised to her for this difficulty (which was a failure of communication) and we are happy to do so again. We feel, though, that we should put the problem into context. Regrettably, the problem was caused, at least in part, by Mariana and her party themselves. Instead of leaving the remote controller for the development's security gates in the apartment, as requested by our agents, our guests chose to post it into a mailbox belonging to another apartment, to which neither we nor our agents have access. Our agents were therefore obliged to buy another controller so that our next guests could use it. The cost of this was deducted from Mariana's deposit, in accordance with our booking conditions. We do accept, however, that our agents were not as quick as they could have been to inform Mariana that she would not be getting her full deposit back. The reason for this was that they had to find out how much a new remote controller cost, but they now accept that they should have emailed Mariana straight away to tell her what was going to happen. We have discussed this with them in some detail, and they have reviewed their systems to try to ensure that there is always prompt communication with our guests. Our agents are extremely busy at peak holiday times, dealing with many arrivals and departures, but they recognise that that is not an excuse for delivering a substandard service to our guests. Once again, we apologise to Mariana and her guests, who will be pleased to know that, owing to our agents promptness in replacing the remote controller, our next guests were not inconvenienced by Mariana's / her guests actions.

Bel appartement

C'est un joli appartement, spacieux et très bien équipé. Parfait pour quatre. La terrasse est bien orientée pour profiter du coucher de soleil. La résidence est bien entretenue. Plusieurs jolies petites piscine entourées d'herbe. Plus petites mais plus agréables que ce que laissaient penser les photos. L'accès aux plages côté portugais est rapide et nous avons facilement passé une journée à Séville. Les propriétaires nous ont gentiment recommandé des lieux à visiter, dont Praia Verde et Alcoutim (plage fluviale) que nous recommandons également. Le point négatif est qu'il n'y a aucune animation/activité à Costa Esuri même. Il faut prendre la voiture pour tout. Nous avons néanmoins passé un excellent séjour.
