Unit #402 is one of 5 vacation rentals out of 8 condos at the St Moritz Condominiums. It is located on the top floor, which is only two flights of stair from the front parking lot.

It is nestled in the European Style alpine Taos Ski Valley at 9,200 ft. Once you park you park your car, it is just a 8-10 minute walk to the base area, and much less time skiing, to the ski area's base facilities: base lifts, lift tickets, restaurants, bars, ski rental shops to demo the latest ski and snowboard equipment, ATM, medical facility, sit at the base area and watch for you loved ones to ski/ snowboard down, and/ or enjoy a great meal.

This immaculate condo is beautifully furnished and fully equipped. It is a 1 bedroom/ 1 bath with 900 + sq ft. This unit is on the top floor and will sleep 4; 2 in the king bed and 2 in the Queen sleeper sofa, with a comfortable memory foam mattress, in the living room. Large soft bath towels and white luxurious bed linens are supplied. Down comforters, blankets, and variety of pillows will keep your nights restful.

The main parking lot is located at the second floor so you only have to climb two sets of stairs, and the last set are located inside the warm dry condo.

The St Moritz complex was completed May of 2011 and are some of the newest in the valley. The warm NM sun floods the condo throughout the day. From the condo you can access skiing/ snowboarding, hiking, sledding, and biking very close to the door with out having to get in the car and drive.

A one touch gas fireplace keeps the nights cozy, inviting, and dries your skiing/ snowboarding accessories for a fresh start the next morning. Elegant stone work adorns the fireplace and bar. Tile on the floors and in the bathroom gives a touch of class. Carpet in the bedrooms will help keep your toes toasty. Electric baseboard heaters quietly heat the unit and maintains each room at a constant even temperature. The bathroom has it's own baseboard heater that can be separately controlled.

A 46' HD flat screen TV with Dish Sat. and a Blue Ray DVD player,. The unit has high speed internet that will keep you connected to the outside world.

The kitchen has granite counters, new stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped for your cooking and baking needs. The private side deck has a new gas grill for your enjoyment. You will find the new washer and dryer with all needed laundering and cleaning supplies in the unit's utility room.

On the first level you will find your own locked equipment storage closet to secure your skis, poles and snowboards. It is up only 1 flight of stairs.

Sorry, no hot tub.

Why Kelly Grossetete chose New Mexico

I learned to ski here at Taos, then spent 17 years skiing and working at Snowbird and Alta, Utah. I've found myself back at Taos Ski Valley with it's friendly, multicultural, laid back atmosphere. I love the variety of terrain the ski area has to offer, both for the expert and beginning skier/ snowboarder.

The condo is located in the heart of Northern NM where the sights and activities are almost endless: stunning mountains, expansive national forest, rolling sage plains, ancient and contemporary Indian Pueblos, early Spanish historical sites, 400 year old Mexican Adobe villages and churches, art galleries, museums, performing arts (music, concerts, play, opera), hiking, biking trails, sledding, fishing, numerous hot springs, white water kayaking and rafting, hot air ballooning, horseback riding,bird watching, workshops and lasses---- well you get the picture!

What makes this condo unique

My family bought this property it's close proximity to the base ski area, it's amenities and the spectacular skiing, hiking and biking trails. Once I drive to the condo I never have to use the car again. Yet, in the summer or when my muscles need a break from skiing, Taos and the surrounding area offers great opportunities for a wide variety of activities and really unique shopping selections.

There is a locker room located on the first floor where each unit has its own loved storage closet to tuck away all your ski, snowboard,equipment. Boots shold be taken up to your condo to dry and stay warm.

MODERN AND INVITING CONDO!

My two adult-size boys and I stayed at the St. Moritz for Spring Break and loved it! We were in a one-bedroom at the top of the complex. This is not a ski-in/ski-out but a very short, easy walk to the bunny slope, even in snow boots, and then ski down to the lift. We even watched fireworks from our balcony.

The complex was immaculate and well-equiped. The furnishings and decor was modern, inviting, and warm. The bed was SO COMFY! My boys said even the sofabed was very comfortable.

The kitchen had plenty of dishes, pots and pans, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, a spice rack and salt and pepper. There was even a basket with some granola bars, couple of packages of coffee, creamers, and sweeteners, which was a nice touch. If you're planning on cooking your own meals, you will need to plan to do your grocery shopping before coming to the mountain. Make sure you get ALL the ingredients you will need right down to things like butter and season-all. This is not a complaint, just helping you plan. :)

Kelly was a delight to work with, always responsive. We will definitely be back!!

Super clean, new, really close to lifts

We are a family of 4 that greatly enjoyed our stay at the St. Moritz property. The condo is just a short walk to the village. This is one of those properties that actually is just what the pictures show (or even better). The unit is furnished very nicely and we were very appreciative of all the amenities included. Will book again when we find our back to Taos. Kelly, thank for letting us stay in your property.

Wonderful long weekend

My wife and I had a wonderful weekend at the St. Moritz, #402. This is a really nicely appointed condo with great amenities. The entire booking process was easy and fast, even when we changed our minds at the last minute and added an extra nights stay. We were thrilled to have several trail heads close by for hiking. We will be back!

St. Moritz is conveniently located, and this unit is easy to access. The light filled condo is thoughtfully designed, decorated and immaculately maintained. Master bed is luxurious with large closet. The kitchen is well equipped. You will enjoy your stay!

Great condo and helpful management, not quite ski in/ski out

Overall a very nice property, well maintained and furnished. I much appreciated the quality of the kitchen supplies, including the sharp knives (seems most rentals have dull knives and this place was set up well.) Also very considerate some items like salt, pepper, coffee and a few granola bars were provided. As was soap, shampoo, detergent and the like. Kelly was very easy to work with and always available for any questions.

Only real downside was that the property was on the 4th floor (stairs only), parking can be tight, and it's a short walk from where you could put on skis to get to the base. Also, no hot tub on property, but that's consistent with the listing, so no surprise just something to consider. At the price point we paid, I might look at some other options next time, but can't find any real flaws with this place. It's one of the nicer condo's avail in Taos for sure.
