Recently renovated with Super WiFi and cable TV

The house is right in the beautiful ancient city center and very close to the Cathedral. We have recently renovated this ancient house to a luxurious standard. There is a beautiful shower bathroom, new kitchen , a courtyard garden, fireplace with a wood stove , sky satellite TV, Super WiFi and a modern alarm system for safety

The large living room is open plan with a fireplace and a wood burning stove, two large contemporary sofas , classic chairs, and a large flat screen TV and DVD player with satellite TV and free WiFi

The sleek modern kitchen is fully equipped with washer dryer, fridge freezer, oven hob and dishwasher with breakfast bar, which opens into the conservatory dining area for 6 seated.

The dining room door folds completely back in the summer to reveal our gorgeous old world courtyard garden with views of the cathedral.

The first floor has the master bedroom with 5ft double luxurious bed and Egyptian cotton bedding, original paintings and a designer wardrobe. It is very comfortable.

The bathroom has a large bath with a huge rainfall shower over it. and is tiled and very warm and cosy

The romantic back bedroom has the cathedral and rooftops for its view and a very romantic large double bed, with Egyptian cotton sheets All sheets and towels are provided and furnishings and accessories are of the highest standard.

Nice place, great location.

Great location, but parking was a pain, and some indication about this would have been helpful, I suggest using just park, as it can get expensive using public car parks. But we had great time anyway.

Amazing location and tastefully decorated

Check-in was smooth although Matthew wasn't there to greet us. House is ideally situated: right in the city centre but relatively quite and secluded once you shut the door. The house is a three-storey half-frontage terrace, quite spacious, very good bathroom and well-equipped kitchen plus three spacious bedrooms. There's a small outdoor garden which is nice for taking a bit of fresh air and a small dining area next to the kitchen. The house was comfortable for four adults and can be recommended for a family or group of friends who want to stay in the centre of the city.

Not as good as the description

This property was disappointing. The renovation was incomplete, and it was certainly not a 5-star property. There were wet towels hanging on the airer, no stair carpet, and several dirty dishes and glasses around, as well as empty bottles. A rubbish bag had been left on the street outside the door, which, of course, the animals got to overnight.

This is really unfortunate, because the property is perfectly placed for the town, and could very easily be improved so that it really did match the description.

a great place to stay

It was very clean and well maintained, ideally it would have another loo as its a lot of people for one bathroom but it wasn't a major issue. The kitchen needed more cooking equipment with only 2 saucepans for 8 people! We really enjoyed our stay, its very close to the shops

Location

Car: not necessary

Come to Canterbury by car or train from the airports , super fast train from London (only 55 minutes) , car by motorway or from Europe via the Channel tunnel which is only 30 mins away.

Canterbury has amazing architecture,beautiful old English pubs, fantastic food in its many restaurants and great theatre.

Close by is the Tate museum at Margate and the beautiful sesaide town of Whitstable
