We have been coming on holiday in Menton for 25 years and this is the best apartment we have stayed in.
Its a super apartment in an excellent location, close to the sea, shops, restaurants, train and bus stations. It is very comfortable for two. We had fabulous weather for three weeks in September and enjoyed the huge terrace. Only one complaint, the terrace furniture has seen better days and needs replacing.
merci pour votre appréciation
Vous avez été de très agréables locataires et aurons beaucoup de plaisir à vous revoir
Comme nous vous avons dit ,les meubles de la terrasse serons changés
Beautiful apartment! Charming hosts!
We have spent 2 weeks holidaying in Menton and staying in this apartment. We go to south of France very often but it was our first time in Menton and we absolutely loved it.
Marcel’s flat is simply perfect! It is spacious, light, with everything you need but the jewel of it is the terrace! It’s big and beautiful and all yours!
The flat is situated in a stunning Art Deco building on a beautiful street and it is less then 5 min walk to the old town and 8 minute walk to the beach.
The hosts were very charming and accommodating. They come back to you straight away whatever querie you might have.
Simply a perfect holiday experience!
Thank you very much Marcel and Josée!

Wonderful position, lovely simple apartment and amazing balcony
Beautiful building and apartment lovely. All that is needed is in it. Balcony makes it such a lovely place to spend a holiday. Lovely couple who own it. Just love Menton and will definitely return, hopefully very soon.
Perfect address in the perfect village!
The apartment was all that it was said to be on the website, so pleased with my final decision to stay here. A lovely building, positioned between the railway station and bus station and on the verge of the old village section. Easy walking distance to all the attractions that Menton has to offer. Many people have advised on the apartment and in particular the balcony, I agree! As a person that uses public transport to get around, Menton was a really good choice. The local buses and the trains accommodated the list of places and interests that I wanted to see. So nice to stay in a beautiful town that is not crowded, however provides all facilities required for a very happy stay. Many thanks Marcel and Josee, hope to return before long.
Lovely hosts and a beautiful apartment in an ideal location part of a wonderful French holiday town
We have spent plenty of time in Italy and Spain in the past and have been to other parts of France but this was our first stay on the French Riviera and it was wonderful. I thought Menton was the "cheap end" but far from it. Menton is a beautiful holiday resort, lots of restaurants and bars, long sea front and a combination of completely free beaches plus ones accessed through bars complete with sun lounges and parasols. The beaches consist mainly of small stones rather than sand, so take suitable footwear. Our hosts Marcel and Josée are lovely people and made us feel very welcome. Marcel speaks fluent French and Italian plus some English which helped. The apartment is lovely and the balcony is more amazing than the photos suggest as others have mentioned. The description and photos are currently a little out of date however, in a positive way because the sun lounges are now a wicker style and contoured for comfort, there is a lovely shower and a freshly installed internet connection (approx 10mbps) with WiFi. Our only negative was that there are only 9 (unallocated) parking spaces for an apartment block of 20+ apartments. Whilst we were there the same 9 cars didn't move for the whole week, so we left the hire car in its place and changed our plans as we had planned on using Menton as a base to explore into the hills. If you have to park on the street then its difficult as all the streets are full of parked cars and you have to pay everywhere (max stay typically 3 hours) which can add 10 euros a day to your holiday. If I went again I wouldn't bother with a car as the apartment is 10 mins from the train station and buses run by its gate and Menton is fine for a week. If you do take a car there is an under ground car park 5 mins away which costs about 70 euros for the week, factor this in and there would be no negatives at all, same if there are only a couple of cars at the apartment. Monte Carlo is about 3 euros each way on the train (20mins) which is recommended for a day trip, and the other way is Italy (Ventimiglia) again 3 euros but not really recommended compared with Menton. There were a lot of migrants in Italy trying to get into France with a military presence in the Italian station and at the first stop back in France the train was searched by the Police with migrants being escorted away. Menton is completely untouched by these issues. We put the apartment on our "things to do again list" and thank Marcel and Josée for a wonderful stay.
