"Traditional cycladic house, very quiet, wonderfully decorated, magnificent view to the sea, to the village, to the valley of Aegiali. Magic atmosphere, positively charged. The island of deep blue, with unique sandy or peddly beaches and archaeological sites of great interest. Tasty cuisine with local products (fish, meat, vegetables)"
This is a fantastic studio, spacious, very clean and with a very nice veranda where we could relax and enjoy our meals. The place had everything we needed, actually more that we could have asked for! The owner, Eva, was very polite and friendly, but discrete at the same time. She prepared for us home cooked desserts and helped us with valuable information to explore the island. She even gave us free rides to and from the port of Aigiali at 2 am! Amorgos is magnificent and of great beauty, a must-see really with exceptional beaches. Tholaria in particular, the village where the house is located, is a traditional and very picturesque place, ideal for relaxing and refreshing holidays! We would strongly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates having a good time, among friendly people.
"We spent 12 wonderful days on the rocky and enchanting Amorgos. The island is perfect for swimming and walking, never crowded, and has many wild spots to explore. We were totally satisfied with our choice of Tholaria, a whitewashed cycladic village with amazing views, welcoming people, and very good tavernas. The studio is exactly as described on the web page and offered all we needed, and the owner, Eva, was always ready to give us suggestions, tipps and even some of her delicatessen! It''s been a pleasure to meet her. We would definitely recommend to spend a couple of weeks on this lovely island in this lovely studio."
Take the normal boat or high speed from Piraeus port near Athens to Aegiali port or Katapola port in Amorgos. From both ports, there is a bus or taxi to Tholaria. Possibility to rent car or scooter.
'Don't miss the highlights of Amorgos which is the BYZANTINE MONASTERY OF PANAGIA CHOZOVIOTISSA, an unforgetable site with breathtaking view. Don't forget to walk along the so many paths leading to isolated sandy or peddly beaches, some ideal for nudism. Keep in your hearts the light of the sun, of the stars, the wonderful blue of the sky and the sea, the green-blue transparent and clear water of the beaches and the white of the wonderful houses of Amorgos. Amorgos is also known all over the world for its delicious gastronomy of patatato, saganaki lobster, fresh fish, fruit of the sea, fava, rakomelo, psimeni raki, famous olive oil, lamb and pork, all grown in Amorgos.'
