About Kelly Carter
My wife and I live in Colorado, but we fell in love with Kaua'i when we first visited in 1996. Our first visit to this resort occurred in 2003 when one of our sons wanted to travel to Kauai as a high school graduation trip. We loved the area and the people so much we bought on that trip. My wife and I are empty nesters now, but we still love the magic of Kauai and this location. We have so many people we have worked with and talked to over the years, that we can't see ourselves ever not owning this incredible location. We get the best of both worlds: an incredible ocean and living close to the mountains. E Komo Mai (Welcome) to our Kaua'i home.

Why Kelly Carter chose Poipu
We fell in love with this property the minute we walked in. Not only does every living area of the condo look out at the water, but you are so close you hear and feel the ocean as it crashes into the rocks right below you. So many guests have commented about needing to 'force' themselves to leave the condo because the views are so incredible. You can sit on the lanai and watch the sunset, and in the morning you can look for sea turtles or the Spinner Dolphins that frequently swim by. Don't just see the water on your visit: hear and feel the force of the ocean right in front of you!

Well... this was the best view of the Ocean our family has ever experienced.
Kelly, the owner of the property, has done a wonderful job of preserving and upgrading his place for all of us to enjoy.
This is so much better than staying at our Marriott timeshare, as mentioned above, the view is second to none. There is such a difference in ocean views. With Marriot, we always saw the ocean, but from a far.
There are no words for what we experienced this past week. The waves crashing on the rocks just a few feet from us at times, especially when a storm came in on Friday and we had 30 foot High and 20 foot wide exploding bursts of waves crashing on the rocks, splashing our screen door at times. Maybe I’m exaggerating a little, they are far enough away to not sweep you into the ocean, but the sound is intimidating for sure! 😎
Even on the perfectly sunny days, of which there were many, when the sets came in, the waves were crashing on the rocks and created quite a show for us. There is even a blow hole that shoots water directly up in the air, simply amazing. You could pay a little less, but why? If you’re going to travel all the way to Hawaii on a plane, and then spend a week here at least, why not have the ocean right in front of you and be able to hear it 24/7? We could be in our front room with the screen door open and be enchanted by the sounds of the ocean every day and night. Also the same in the master bedroom, as it’s adjacent to the front room and shares the same view.
We saw several turtles and a monk seal playfully swimming in the waves, unfortunately we didn’t see any whales because we weren’t in season for them, but no matter, no regrets. Poipu beach is within walking distance. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. thanks again Kelly for allowing us to share your paradise for the week! Hope to come back again in the future. Mahalo,

Crashing waves
Fun place to stay at reasonable cost. Waves crashing on lava shores are entertaining. Sunset off to the side, but nice. Communal BBQ. Beach is a long walk or short drive.
Excellent property
Perfect location overlooking the ocean, with nice furniture and appliances. No air conditioning but the ceiling and portable fans were enough. Good communications - the owner replaced a faulty screen door. Ample close parking. 3 sets of stairs to get to unit but not a concern. Plenty of beach and bath towels and washer/ dryer with soap. BYO dryer sheets. Plenty of dishes BBQ items for shared grill and dishwasher with soap pods provided. Only saw one bug near sliding door but wasn’t a problem. Recommend bringing power strip for living room for cell phones.
Paradise in Kauai
We have stayed in Kauai 3 times and this was by far our best visit and first time with our kids. Pictures do not capture the beauty of the property. Loved our stay and will be coming back.
Location, location, location
Fabulous condo. So much better than the listing described! Beautifully updated, very spacious and extremely well equipped. We were there during a particularly stormy week, but hardly cared as we sat mesmerized by the waves crashing on the rocks right below the lanai. Kelly was wonderful to work with. They have thought of everything you could need to make this the perfect vacation!
Polo Beach Club
Nicely appointed condo. Wonderful view from lanai. Children friendly at condo complex and pool.
Location
Good access to must see activities including Koke'e State Park and Waimea Canyon. We are centrally located to all the sunny south shore has to offer.
