About the property

Our home is a three-level duplex on the sunny side of town on a very desirable street just two blocks north of main street. It is a two bedroom/two bath with an extra converted bedroom with a double bed on the lowest level. The kitchen has been renovated, and there is a brand spanking new gorgeous second bathroom.

Main level has one bedroom with queen bed (extra hide-a-way toilet in room). The Living Room/Dining/Kitchen area has wood floors, gas fireplace, a bright, sunny kitchen and a large porch with AMAZING views up Bear Creek and of the ski area. Upstairs level has a bedroom with queen bed and full bathroom. Between main level and downstairs is a full bathroom. We have a lock off with a third bedroom on the lowest level with a double bed that is sometimes available for an extra fee. Contact us if you would like more information.

We are long-time Telluride locals who recently chipped in together so that we could finally afford to buy a home in town. The house is used as a primary residence, so there will be belongings in the home. We will do our best to make room, but be sure you feel okay with that. As it is a duplex, we need to respect our neighbors, so no loud parties or barking dogs. If you're looking for a slightly funky and eclectic rental with lots of character, then look no further!!

Feel like a local!!!!!!

We have been visiting Telluride for close to 30 years and this ranks as one of our favorite places!!!! The house is in a perfect location, is beautifully decorated and has views that are absolutely breathtaking. The owners were very accommodating. It is great to experience a home such as this and get a little flavor of what living like a local would be. This truly is a gem in the most beautiful place in Colorado.

Wonderful stay in Telluride

We had an amazing stay in Telluride. Such a fun, cozy, and accessible home! We were a short walk to restaurants, shops, the town transportation (Galloping Goose), and a short walk to the lifts/gondola. Our hosts left us with lots of information to ensure our stay was comfortable and that we would enjoy all that the town offers. We loved our mornings in the sunny kitchen and the views were wonderful to wake up to as well. We are a family of 5 and there was more than enough room for all of us to spread out. We are already planning our next trip and hope to stay here again. Thank you to the hosts- you have an amazing place.

Great stay

Timely response for communications. The space worked well for the 5 us with 3 yr old granddaughter. Beautiful view of the mountains by day and the stars at night from the deck. Everyone walked to main street for coffee in the am or the gondola for a ride up the mountain. Great access. Parking is a challenge if pulling a small trailer. The guest parking pass came in handy. Will contact again next time.

Perfect Location!

We had a wonderful time staying at this home! It had plenty of room and amazing views! We were in town for the bluegrass festival, and it was the perfect location and so close to Town Park. We were able to sit on the porch, listen to the music and take in the beautiful mountain views! Owners were so nice to work with!

Great location, has its drawbacks

The owners of the property are very nice and responsive. However, they live in the property when it is not rented and it seems would prefer to be at the residence. One of the owners slept in the basement the first night we were there and they were in constant communication with us which is not exactly what we had in mind for our vacation.

The property is in a great location and has a great view. We enjoyed the hammock on the back porch and the quick walk to the main street. When we booked this property it was listed a free-standing home and there was no description that this was actually a duplex, which has since been updated. However, it still comes up as a free standing residence in the search criteria. What they don't share with you is that there is actually a tenant living in the basement of the home which limits the amount of house that you can utilize. We also felt like we were constantly tip toeing around in an effort to be quiet for the tenant and the duplex neighbors, who are not the friendliest of people and not at all pleased that their neighbors are using the house as a rental.

Overall we enjoyed our visit but will stay in a free standing home for our future visits to Telluride.

Owner's Response: Just wanted to clarify that the house has always been described in the very first line of our description as a duplex; that has not been changed. What has been added to our description since this last guests' stay is the following: "As it is a duplex, we need to respect our neighbors, so no loud parties or barking dogs." This was added because our guests had two very loud dogs who barked and whined whenever they left, hence the frustration with the neighbors. We have had quite a few guests before who have had dogs, as we are a dog-friendly rental, and have not had issues previously. All of that said, the guests were lovely people. In regards to one of the owners staying in the basement the first night, the guests were given some rent back for that and it had been ok'd beforehand. Thanks! Suzan
