This spacious brand new Twin Lakes house was built in 2014. It is attached to the old building. This beautiful new building has 3 bedrooms including master bedroom with king bed, that can be converted to 2 twin beds if needed, 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds, 1 bedroom with 1 twin bed, 2 bathrooms including jacuzzi, as well as big living room, dining room and kitchen, fireplace, TV, outdoors grill. It is located 2 min to drive to the restaurants area, 2-3 minutes to drive to the Lake Mary, 10 min to drive to Wilmot mountain Ski area.

The Lake Mary area offers a wide variety of vacation activities. You may enjoy skiing, snowboarding, tubing, ice skating, snow mobiles, ice fishing during winter months. Our cozy place with the fireplace will bring you warm feeling of being at home. Golfing, hiking, fishing, swimming, kayaking, jet skiing, water skiing, boating are available during the summer time. The gorgeous nature around the house will impress you with the variety of autumn colors. Spring is beautiful there. You may enjoy the watching how mother nature awakes from the winter sleep.

I spent weekend at the farm house. I really needed to be far from the stresses of the life. Three my kids were with me, we had awesome time. When you are there you can forget about things that bother you and fully enjoy the life. I would love to go again.

Great space to relax

This is our second stay at this Twin Lakes property. It's hidden behind the barn so it's very private and quite. Inside is modern and spacious with a fully stocked kitchen. Short drive to the lake and town so if you forget anything shopping is close by. Lyndsey checked in with us when we arrived to make sure we had what needed, said to contact her if we needed anything during our stay. Very nice, but also gave us our privacy. Look forward to coming back again.

Your interior of your home is gorgeous. You would never know that pulling into the drive way.

When we arrived, Lindsey didn't even know u rented the house out for the weekend. So, the master bedroom wasn't clean and the bed was unmade. She had to strip all the bedding off and proceed to make the bed. She couldn't find a king size comforter. So she washed the queen sized one that was on the bed. And I dryed. So we could have a blanket. And then the bed in the 3rd bedroom was nothing like the picture online. This bedroom is set up for a toddler the bed is almost on the floor. I guess maybe the people before us changed it. I have no idea. And I do realize that washer n dryer belong to the neighbor. But I think if I rent a home someone shouldn't have a key creeping in the basement doing laundry. I dont know if it just me but there are no drapes or blinds on any windows in the kitchen/livingroom. And I'll give it to the neighbor that her phone got shut off And she did not know the place was rented. But the grass and weeds were in need of cutting. And last but not least you cannot see the house that is shown on homeaway, til you drive past the dilapidated barn with a garage on the left that is attached to the house(which I did see that u put new siding on 2 sides of the barn closest to the house). And on the right is a small building that Lindsey lives in. I've rented many homes for vacations , this was just a little different. One night we came home late, pulled up to the house and seen some sort of black dogs near the house.Now it's pitch black out, So ,we parked the car n the dogs were outside the car growling by the car doors. So I told my husband, don't get out, blow the horn. He did. Then we started the car again, cracked the window to hear someone whistle and the dogs left. We waited n listened, turned the car off. And we ran into the house. This was very scary. And if we didnt get movies, we would of had nothing to watch on tv. The few channels you do have kept freezing. These are things you need to know, so you can fix what is wrong. I have rented a few homes. This is not the first home I've rented .

Owner's Response: I was a bit surprised by your review. Lyndsey knows who rents when very well, she has the schedule. And she was making beds at the time when you arrived. There were my friends staying before you, they cleaned after themselves. Despite this Lynsey was doing this again and was cleaning the house in-between them and your group of people. She likes to keep the place spotless. Although the linens were washed already she had to do this AGAIN per your request, and she did. Lynsey is a lovely young lady, very nice to people and she does everything to please the renters. Both properties belong to the same owner and she is renting the old house. She has few months old kid and she is using the laundry a lot. Both laundry and dryer machines are her appliances. Since you locked the door to the basement Lynsey was not able to get to the drier. There are 5 beds in the house, all of them are adult beds. We stayed in this house ourselves multiple times, the single bed room was the favorite one of my uncle, and he was 5'10" tall older gentleman. You contacted me week after your trip and asked me to take care of the check issue since you submitted the incorrect checking account to VRBO, the issue was solved, and you did not mention anything about any problem. I spoke with Lynsey, she was stunned by your review. She was telling me how happy you were at the time of your trip. Lynsey was shocked with your note about her dogs, you loved the dogs while you were there, you laughed that you were not scarred and your dogs were bigger than hers. Lynsey and her husband keep the dogs inside, and the dogs are never a problem to her little son or to the renters. Nobody ever complained about these friendly dogs so far. I understand that our property is not a 5 star hotel, that's why the price is much lower that other properties in the area. Please enjoy your next trips.

Fit Our Needs

We knew about the barn next store before arriving so it wasn't to much of a surprise. It is an interesting way that the house is connected to the barn. Maybe because of this, we encountered a bat in the basement on our last night while doing the laundry. There were some bugs, but that's to be expected due to the location. The open living space was great for our 11 month old, who crawled a lot during our stay. Lindsey, the neighbor, was very pleasant and offered any help. The neighbors kept to themselves and gave us plenty of privacy. The drive to Lake Mary was about 2 minutes and to Lake Geneva 15 minutes.

Beautiful spacious home for a group stay but no wifi and confusing communication

This home is ideal for groups or big families wanting a clean, spacious, secluded getaway. I stayed here with my 3 bridesmaids and we had more than enough room. The kitchen and counter is HUGE as is the living room and the two bathrooms!! We were so happy when we walked in the door. There were about 10 of us getting ready here in the morning for my wedding and we all had more than enough space to move around and enjoy ourselves. As long as you do not need wifi, I highly recommend staying here! One hiccup we had was with communication since the person and phone number listed on the 'checkin' information (Jessica) is different than the current person checking people into this home. Thankfully the owner got back to us within an hour and gave us the correct information but it was a little stressful since we were on a timeline with wedding preparations! But after we got checked in, checkout and other communication was flawless. Thank you for sharing your home with me and my girls!!

Although the home was overall very clean my sisters and I were disappointed because the was an infestation of box elder bugs during our stay and rather than be complainers we chose to try and deal with it during our brief 2 night stay. After we returned home we tried to explain via email the problem we dealt with and gently suggested to the homeowner we should receive a discount. After all, my youngest sister had been awakened in the middle of the night with a box elder crawling in her ear! The homeowner decided that no discount was to be given because we had not tried to contact them during our stay.

Seems unreasonable to me.

Owner's Response: These bugs happen to be around at this time of year in the woods. The property is perfect for the nature lovers, for those who want to forget about the city noises for the time being. Sorry that you had to experience this. One of the ways to avoid this is not to keep the lights on the whole night at the porch. The lady that keeps the eye on the property lives right there. She is very helpful and pleasant, renters have complimented her on multiple occasions. People should contact her right the way in case of any problems. If nobody says anything for 2 days and does not even mention about the problems when returns the keys to her we assume that everything is perfect. I wish you pleasant vacations in the future.
