Loved the location next to the Upper Feather River- house and location were just what we wanted. A good time had by all. Lynita was very responsive and communication was easy. Description was accurateand Lynita was happy to provide suggestions for local activities and restaurants.
If you love the outdoors...and comfort indoors, this is a wonderful place to stay. The house has a big kitchen with everything you could possibly need. The living room with wood stove is full of comfortable, people-friendly furniture. Big big master bedroom and two other bedrooms...and 2 and a half baths! Room for 6 more than comfortably. The house is a family house. YOu really can relax in it completely. Yard is the big draw, though. Deer and rabbits and chipmunks out there. The river, with two chairs beside it, is to back of property. It was hot and I sat with my feet in the cold mountain spring water and read my book. there is enough room, inside and out, to do your own thing. Laundy "house" was great...we needed to do laundry. Clothesline was the BEST. My teeshirts smelled like I remember from childhood. Town is a walk away. Hiking trails and major lake and Mt. Lassen just a drive away. Ideal vacation spot...totally removed from "life." Could not recommend it more highly. And the owner is incredible. She is someone you want to take home with you as a new best friend.
We (two couples) really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The setting is great...walking distance to town and yet feeling secluded. The large deck was perfect for relaxing and watching the deer, rabbits, squirrels and birds at any time of the day.
Although we had some problems with the reservation process of Homeaway, the owner was very responsive by email and phone.
Mark (the owner) promptly corresponded with us to make sure everything was in order for our arrival to the home - very smooth! Upon arriving
to the vacation house, we found everything clean and accurate to the description published on VRBO. What a NICE place!! Everybody was most pleased
with the scenery and accommodations. This property is LOVINGLY maintained! And rightfully so, This beautiful place has been in Mark's family
for generations as one can see with the photo next to the guestbook.
We are a group of close, life long friends that get together for a ride around the western states once a year. This year we decided on Chester, Ca since we came through these parts a few years ago when heading south from Crater Lake, Or. Remembering all that we had seen from Thule Lake area, south to
Lava Beds, then on to Lassen Nat'l Park was INCREDIBLE! All of this is just north of Chester. Lake Almanor is a very large and beautiful lake to enjoy and,
perhaps, take a ride/drive around. Plenty of small town conveniences in Chester.
Plenty of small town conveniences in Chester. We love the Mexican restaurant in the middle of town not too far and on the same side of the road
is The Burger Depot - another good spot with very friendly atmosphere. Market is great also!
Stay at this lovely place on the north fork of the Feather River and you will enjoy it!!
This river cabin is darling! We felt wonderfully secluded by it's 3 green acres, spacious deck and river front property. To be away from the city and in the quiet of the mountains was such a blessing. We enjoyed all our meals out on the deck. We brought our bikes and rode into town several days for ice cream or coffee and shopping. Our kids survived without missing their electronic devices. The house is clean and plenty of space for our family of 5. We appreciated the ability to use the washing machine as well as the badmitton set. We enjoyed meeting Mark and Lynita at the end of our stay and plan to return next summer! Thank you for sharing your family home.

This house is away from the downtown area of Chester. The property is absolutely beautiful! It's surrounded by green grass, trees, and has the North Fork of the Feather River running by. There is a huge deck to enjoy and hang out on. All kinds of birds were around, including 3-4 Ospreys that were fishing near the river. My favorite part of is house is its history. It's been a family cabin for many years, and you can feel that good energy. This inside of the house is comfortable and simple. It has everything you need for a mountain get-away.
