Everything we wanted!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit to Oahu and we could not have been more pleased. This property and location were everything we wanted and more! The views were amazing and the solitude of the area allowed you to feel that you had your very own private beach to play in. The home was beautiful and offered everything you would need to experience true island living during your stay. The main house was perfect for my husband and I to occupy because we could wake up super early, make our coffee and enjoy our quiet time uninterrupted while our 17-year-old son and his best friend slept in the "studio." The outdoor shower was fantastic to use for rinsing off after a day at the beach and for the boys to use as their very own shower! The ocean was amazing and the boys had a blast swimming in it. The proximity to other beaches and areas was perfect. We didn't have to do too much driving if we didn't want to. A fun surprise for us was the two really cool neighbor's cats that hung out with us for our entire stay. We got so attached to them that we wanted to bring them home with us! We wanted to be able to come out and live as locals do for a week, because that's how we like to experience the places we visit. In such a short period of time we became attached to the place and its people. Thanks to the owners and property manager Betty for making us feel so welcomed. We will never forget our time with you all. We hope to be back some day. Mahalo

Unbeatable views at a fabulous house - we'll be back!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this property as a relaxed get-away for our anniversary and loved every second! This property is right on the beach. The beach really is as close as it looks in the photos.

We stayed in late April/early May and could not have been more pleased with the cleanliness and the set-up of the house. Both the main house and the bedroom have fabulous views. We spent most of our 5 days at the house sitting on the patio watching surfers, enjoying the excellent weather, and listening to the sound of the waves.

My husband is an excellent cook and has strong opinions about kitchens, and he was really pleased with the kitchen set-up. The kitchen had everything we needed: cookware, utensils, and even a lot of pantry essentials (spices, vinegars, oils) on hand. Definitely the best-stocked rental kitchen we've stayed in.

As the description notes and other reviewers noted, the bedroom and half bath are in a separate structure from the main house (which has the full bathroom). It really was not a problem for us.

The food trucks at Shark's Cove are a mile up the highway and there's a nice walking/biking path to get there. The Foodland grocery store is next to the food trucks. (All of the food trucks we tried were good, but we liked the Pupukea Grill best. The Acai bowl at the Spot truck was also delicious.)

In short, I HIGHLY recommend this property. My only reservation in doing so is that you might book this house for the same time that I want to book my return visit because we are definitely going back!

A gem on Oahu's spectacular North Shore

  • 5 of 5

We are surfers. If you love to surf, or watch surf, this beach bungalow has a million dollar view and an incredible beach to walk. The house is lovely, comfortable and well equipped. The sleeping unit is cozy and quiet. The location of the house is great...located by a wonderful hike with a full view of the North Shore from up above and a short bike path. Keep in mind the beach is not for swimming during the winter months when the surf is huge, but this beach is special anytime of the year.

The house is gorgeous and has everything you need.

  • 5 of 5

When booking this house I did have concerns regarding the bedroom being seperate from the main house, but as it turns out it was perfect for us. My husband had a sanctuary to go to when he wanted. The house is beautiful, the yard would be great for small kids to play on and playing ping pong table was fun!

The view is, by far, one of the best views I've ever seen. It's spectacular!!!! My favorite was the out door shower!!!!! Close to foodland and all the food trucks ( all of them were very good) the town of Haleiwa was just just down the road maybe 6 miles. There they have restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back to rent this house!!!!!!

Great Spot

  • 5 of 5

Never been to Oahu prior. This was a great house to call home base. Our family was super comfortable. It was private and close to everything in the North Shore. It was nice having privacy from our kids with the Master being separate from the main house. The gated compound allowed our kids to play outside without us keeping track of them. We loved watching all the surfers everyday and really enjoyed the noise from waves. We will definitely be back.
