living in paradise

I would like to keep this house a secret, it's such a gem. We (party of 6 adults and 2 small children) simply loved the place! The outdoor space above the house is so wonderfull (very nice pool, outdoor kitchen, covered terrace with both dining table and launch set). This is really were we 've spent most of our time. The outdoor kitchen is so convenient, with it's large fridge for cool drinks at hand. Gazing to the sea, with a cold drink in your hands, is really all you need. And the pool, with nice warm water and sea view - what a dream!

Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Especially the 2 upstairs bedrooms are very nice! The 2 downstairs rooms, that share a bathroom, can use some refurbishment if compared to the other ones above. Living rooms and kitchen were really comfy and big. Jacuzzi was a pleasure to use (although it took a while to figure out exactly how to use it). For the kids, 2 small kid beds and high chairs were provided. Really appreciated that!!!

The location is also very convenient. We did trips to Granada, the Alpujarras, some other mountain villages, caves of Nerja, Almunecar,... All on good driving distance and really worth the visit.

Food: we went out for lunch and diner a lot, on our trips, but also used twice the splendid gas barbecue. The nearby Mercadonna has a very good selection of fresh fish, so using the bbq was a pleasure. Also in the market hall of Almunecar, you can daily buy fresh fish, veggies and meat. Good diner opportunities at the Salobrena beachfront, good and authentic tapas/raciones at "El puentecillo la caleta", Meson de la Villa on a quite square is good as well (traditional food). In Almunecar, we thought Bodega Restaurante Francisco I was a good and traditional tapas place (lots of locals as well).

Overall, we really adored the villa and didn't want to leave it :) We will be back!

Beautiful villa on a lovely hillside location

I would highly recommend this beautiful hillside villa for a family holiday. We stayed for 10 nights as two families of 4 and one set of grandparents. This very spacious accommodation is split over several levels. The ground floor has a large lounge complete with an equally large Arab patio and also has an outside seated terrace which gets the morning sun and is wonderful for breakfast with views of the sea and the lovely castle of Salobrena. On this level there is also a large kitchen with dining area, two bedrooms, a double and a twin and a separate shower room. Upstairs there are two large master bedrooms, both with dressing rooms and ensuites and one with a large balcony. The largest master was also able to accommodate in addition to the huge king-size bed, two additional single beds for my brother's two young children - and still had plenty of room. On this level there is a door out to another terrace and the path which leads up to the pool area which is further up the hill at a level higher than the house. We love the layout of this house - there is so much space, multiple options for outside seating that people can have their own quiet space if wanted and the facilities around the pool were particularly great - these included a full outside kitchen (cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, etc), shower room and covered seating (with plasma TV) and dining area. The inside kitchen was therefore only used for breakfast as we used the pool kitchen and BBQ for other meals. Again the views from the pool level were amazing. The house was very well equipped with air-con, wifi, jacuzzi and there was amble parking - I should also mention that it is very quiet and peaceful. The surrounding area is also lovely and we enjoyed visiting the castle (although be prepared for a climb!) and the nearby towns of Nerja (and caves) and Alamencar as well as a wonderful trip to see the Alhambra in Granada which was a very quick and scenic drive over the mountains all by motorway. Lastly, I just want to thank Ana. She is an amazing host. All emails and requests were responded to very quickly which we greatly appreciated.

Traumhafte Location

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit an dissem schönen Ort obwohl es im März noch nicht die Beste Jahreszeit ist aber mit Sonne ist selbst das herrliche Pool nutzbar, wenn natürlich auch erfrischend.

Das Haus ist toll, der Jacuzi selbst bei Regen herrlich.

Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Lovely house!

A lovely house which in every part lives up to the photos. Spacious and with a beautiful garden with lots of different seating areas. A lovely surrounding and convenient with only a 5 min car ride to the nearest town Salobrena which has a nice beach and plenty of nice beach restaurant. We stayed 6 adults and 3 children in the house and it was perfect!
