Not quite as advertised

  • 2 of 5

In general I'd describe my family's stay in this property as a disappointment. While advertised as luxury, I'd best describe it as average with a fancy coating. The unit shows its wear and tear. Rugs are ripped, pull out couch is unsleepable, lights burnt out, old holes in drywall, sliding door broken off closet, and many more. Owner unwilling to accept responsibility for issues and denies there are any issues. Be cautious renting from here as it is not quite as advertised.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately, John did not contact us about any of these issues he had with the unit until after he had checked out. We are available 24/7 and are extremely responsive to guest needs. Most of the complaints listed are quick and simple fixes, and we've already coordinated with a repairman to take care of these items. This unit is a wonderful value, and all of our previous guests have offered positive feedback regarding this value and the fact that the unit is a nice home-away-from-home. We've never heard of any issues with the sleeper sofa, and the other furnishings in the unit are high end. It's true that people walk on the rugs and thus a bit of wear is inevitable. However, the unit is as pictured, and is very comfortable. Again, we try to work very closely with our guests on any needs they have during their stay. We also work very hard to create clean and comfortable environments in all of our units. We regret John didn't have the same positive experience that the majority of our guests have had in this unit, and we have already taken action to address his concerns.

Great condo for the money

  • 4 of 5

The condo was exactly as pictured and was really great. The bedding was super comfortable, the TV's were exceptional, kitchen was great, couch was comfortable, and the location was great. The property management team was really exceptional, they have a dedicated website for the property with directions etc. and they make the property feel like a hotel with logo'd glassware and shower amenities. We'd stay here again for sure.

Spring Skiing in WY

  • 5 of 5

Every year my buddies and I have a guy trip to a new mountain, our stay at the outpost was perfect for what we were looking for. - Walking distance to lifts. - Full Kitchen. - Washer / Dryer. - Great Television Setup good for relaxing after a long day on the sunny slopes and a few drinks at the Mangy Moose. I would stay again and reccomend to friends in a minute. For this trip it was three adult men, would also be perfect for a small family looking for a mountain escape.

Great condo!

  • 4 of 5

The condo was very updated and well equipted. Outpost went beyond being helpful for our stay. The unit did not have a crock pot, but they delivered one to us the first day and had our lift tickets in the unit. Also, Mekki and Hannah were helpful in suggesting restaurants etc. Four of us rented the unit and it was perfect for four, but feel more than that would have been crowded.

The shared hot tubs were convenient and the staff there was extremely nice and accommodating.

The lift was quite a hike from the unit, so one of us would drive up and let everyone off with all the equipment then walk back. We rode shuttle home every afternoon since there was not much snow to ski into the unit. We would definitely recommend Outpost and this unit. This was our third trip to Jackson Hole and we

enjoyed our visit except that mother nature did not cooperate with plenty of snow like our other visits.

Great Stay!!

  • 5 of 5

We had 5 people fit comfortably. The two bathrooms helped speed up the morning routine quite a bit. One of the bathrooms even has a separated shower area so one person can shower while another brushes their teeth. Kitchen was roomy and well equipped. The balcony was great for relaxing after a day of skiing. The hot tub is shared between a bunch of condos, but was never too busy and is just steps away from the condo. A shuttle stops right outside the condo frequently.

I'm probably forgetting some stuff, but overall the place is great. Especially at the price!

Thanks again to Mekki and the outpost crew.

Family Ski Vacation Paradise

  • 5 of 5

My family and I travel a lot and with three kids ranging from 9 to 17 and a very particular spouse, it is tough to find place that we can give a "5-Star" rating...BUT...this is one of them. Prior to arrival we got a link to a personalized website that contained information on the Unit, the area, restaurants and weather. That was very nice to help plan and the Outpost Crew recommended several great places to eat as well. We arrived late on the 26th exhausted after flight and luggage delays. We stayed at a hotel in the village because the Unit was occupied that night. The Outpost Crew picked up all of our ski passes on the 26th (before our stay officially began) and left them at the hotel, so we could hit the slopes immediately on the 27th. Then the Outpost Crew picked up all of our luggage on the 27th (and we do not travel light) from the hotel and took it to the Unit--THAT is 5-Star Service! The Unit itself is wonderfully located by the Moose Chair and after a 2-minute walk we were on the lifts to get to the Village. The Condo Shuttles are reliable and the drivers very nice and we used that to get back to the Unit from the village as it is a short ride (and you can walk it in about 10 minutes). The Unit is very clean and very well-appointed. The beds were comfortable (even the fold-out) and the TVs in the family room and master and high-end coffee maker were certainly a plus. The views were great and while we did not get a chance to grill (too cold and snowy), the BBQ is something we will do next time as we will certainly be coming back and recommend it--the Condo is perfect, but the service is what made it 5-Star.
