Had a great stay but could have been better

  • 4 of 5

Our family of 4 spent a week here the last week in June 2018. The condo has plenty of room and was very comfortable for us. Me and the wife slept well on the king bed in the master suite and enjoyed mornings on the upstairs balcony. Our kids (17 & 21) shared the other bedroom that has 2 twin beds and we heard no complaints. The downstairs back patio was a nice place to sit depending on the time of day (sun). Some of the patio furniture is due for replacement. Great view of the pool and the river. The pool was only 12 steps from the back patio, it is a small pool but was nice for a swim and had nice furniture to relax in. We enjoyed walking down to the boat dock and even took chairs down and relaxed by the river while enjoying the scenery.

All the alliances in the condo worked fine and the condo was clean. Some of the shower fixtures seemed to be ready for replacement but I know the Florida water is tough on them so not unusual. The condo did show some signs of age on the interior but nothing major. The owner did have internet issues the week we were there so no wifi and the cable TV did not work upstairs. The condo comes equipped with bikes and canoes. Only 2 of the 5 bikes were functional and those 2 were not in the greatest of shape. 1 of the 2 canoes had the front tip taped-up with packing tape I suppose due to a leak. Made us unsure about using it. The owner was alerted of these issues and said they would be corrected for the future. About mid week the down stairs area developed a mild bad odor, never could determine what it was. We had to put out some air fresheners and use some spray from time to time. The condo complex is tucked away behind a shopping center and was pretty quite considering the proximity of the main highway. Very convenient location to many stores. During our stay a new development was being built in the space next door so there was some construction noise most days ;-(

The owners were easy to work with and responsive to all communications.

I think I would have given 3.5 stars but went with 4 since I could not give half stars in the selection.

Awesome Family Vacation Spot!!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent the week celebrating my fathers 60th birthday and had a great time. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The owners (Ken and Barb) were amazing. The location couldn’t have been better. Very close to downtown with dining options and stores right around the corner from the condo. I will definitely be reaching out to them in the future.

Sebastian Harbor Villas

  • 2 of 5

Of the three vacation rentals we stayed this winter, this was the most disappointing. It did not meet our expectations for cleanliness, facility maintenance or amenities. On check- in the floors were dirty and dust balls existed throughout the unit. Bathroom floor mats contained hair & nail clippings. The bath/shower spigots were corroded shut requiring the use of only the shower (vs the tub), furniture was old and worn out. Two table lamps were positioned where there were no electrical plugs - thus of no use. We found an iron, but no ironing board. A text to the owner regarding this problem was left unfulfilled.

On the plus side, the Villas were a 5 minute drive into the city. Great restaurants and historic sites to see.

For the rent charged, the value was lacking. Hopefully the owners will correct these problems resulting in a more pleasant stay for future guests.

Owner's Response: WOW, I'm shocked at your review. In the 3 years we have been renting, you are the first unhappy traveler we have had. True, we don't have an ironing board. We don't advertise to have either iron or board on the amenities included with the unit. We are local and a phone call or text to remedy any issue would have been appropriate. Read other reviews and see that we are extremely accomodating. In the future you may want to increase your budget if what you are looking for are luxury accomodations.

Perfect location and layout for two couples and a toddler!

  • 5 of 5

We spend our beach days at Vilano so driving on the beach is perfect from this place. The rest of our week we're eating on st augustine beach or downtown, so the location is perfect. We love having he dock and pool a few steps from the back porch. It's perfect! The owners are great...easy to get in contact with them and very helpful! Highly reccomend this place! We will be back!

Very peaceful place with all of the comforts needed.

  • 5 of 5

We loved having our boat at tje dock for our trips on the water. The condo was nice, clean and comfortable. The owners were great to work with. There are many great places to eat close by.(Metro Diner, Tijuana Flats and Catch 27 were our favorites. We will return, as we love St. Augustine for it's clean water and beaches and good eats.
