Great for The Price
Great place, up and coming district. Very nice and pleasant landlord who can't do enough for you
Clean, good location.
Lots of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops in the area. Close to Metro. Good base to see Rome.
a bit damp, useful little area though. Crockery etc needs replacing but overall fine: good bed!
See above: as in all Italian properties it is a bit cool in winter due to stone floors! All ok, though bathroom needs a bit more cleaning ie surfaces and renovating mirror maybe. Mario amazingly helpful throughtout! Thank you!
Clean, comfortable and convenient.
A few minutes walk to a metro station opens up all the sights you came to Rome to see. Mario was most welcoming and genuinely warm on arrival, and he gave us some useful tips for travelling round the city. Parking was right outside the flat which was handy, and we never moved the car all week. Just round the corner was the community of Pigneto, with banks, shops and restaurants, if you don’t fancy self-catering. We loved our week and would certainly go back to Casa Elisola.
I really thank you. It's a pleasure for me hosting you
Great neighborhood, very friendly owner, and nice accommodations!
Stayed here for 5 nights earlier this month, and would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Roma.
The location: The neighborhood was our favorite part of this listing. It is easy and cheap to get to the main tourist attractions within 30 minutes using the metro or tram - both are within a 5 minute walk. However, it was great to stay away from tourist center and live like a local. There is a great pedestrian area very close to the apartment on Via del Pigneto (2 minute walk). Every morning there is a local fresh produce market until about noon, and there are also restaurants open for cappuccino and light breakfast. In the evenings, the place comes to life with 20+ restaurants. Many have great happy hour specials around 6-10 euro for a drink and an appetizer (the aperitivo!). The prices were overall better than the restaurants in the tourist center, and the quality was great - after all, these are the places where the locals eat!
The host: Mario was always very responsive and helpful all the way through from our initial booking to our checkout. He gave us perfect and economical advice on how to get to the apartment from the airport. When we arrived he met us and showed us on a map where the metro and tram stops are located and gave advice on which lines to take depending on where we wanted to go. He also showed on the map where the local grocery stores are - there are 2 within a 5 minute walk. During our stay, there was a small problem with the dehumidifier in the apartment and Mario had it fixed promptly within 24 hours.
The apartment: The apartment does not have air conditioning but there is a dehumidifier and two circulating fans. It was certainly hot in July (at least 90F/31C while we were there), but the fans helped a lot for us to sleep at night. If you require air conditioning then you will need to look elsewhere.
The pictures on the listing paint a very accurate picture of what you will find. The rooms are clean and there is plenty of room for 2 people. In the bedroom there is a nice size closet with drawers with plenty of space for a week of clothing for 2. The closet also had extra pillows, sheets, and blankets. The bathroom was very clean and well stocked with clean towels, hand soap, toilet paper, and a hair dryer (my wife was very happy about this). The kitchen has everything you need to prepare some meals in if you like. The internet worked perfectly the whole time.
Thanks again for everything, Mario!
