About Allison Paquet

I have lived here in Marquette since 1987 and in this home since 1988...the remodel has been a labor of love, my children have all grown up here as well...I live in the apartment upstairs with my pets...

Allison Paquet purchased this apartment in 1988

Why Allison Paquet chose Upper Peninsula Michigan

I always had the plan to rent my home when my children were grown...this is a lovely city and the location of the home is just blocks away from all that goes on in the city.

These are a few of the attractions of this home:

-Beautiful courtyard outside of the elegant patio doors

-Pull out couch is comfortable with it's memory foam on it

-Bathroom shower is small but distinctive

-Kitchen is up to date in all ways with very nice dining room

-Location is near the Lake which was our focus in addition to being downtown.

Would definately stay there again

Beautiful, warm and inviting!!!

  • 5 of 5

This place is amazing. My husband and I stayed here while on our honeymoon. This place is cozy and beautiful. It was nice to stay at a home away from home. We also had the pleasure of meeting Allison and chit chatting with her. She was very nice and helpful on what to do around town and what was within walking distance of the house. Oz is great too! He is cute and very friendly. He also likes to play fetch and he is accurate at catching the ball. We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this place. If you are looking for a vacation and want a home away from home, this is the place.

The house and yard were beautiful!

  • 4 of 5

It was such a pleasure to be able to cook meals in the beautiful, clean kitchen. I have many foods that I have to avoid and this made my life so much easier. The items available to cook with were very adaquit. I was very pleasantly surprised on the restaurants that could accommodate me, Sweet Water Creek, Babycakes coffee house (I recommend the chai tea latte and the gluten free muffins!) and the food co op were my favorite places! Allison answered our questions and was very pleasant to deal with. Everything you need was supplied in the home. My husband enjoyed cooking on the grill, and relaxing in the cozy yard. The home was centrally located to downtown, Lake Superior, NMU, and shopping. We felt like we were at home! The bathroom was small, but the rest of the rooms were very nice size. If we have the chance to go back we would stay here again. We have told many people about our great stay and recommend they give Allison and Marquette a try for their next trip!

A great get away weekend!

  • 5 of 5

What a great get away! This is a lovely house, large kitchen, large dining area, separate living room and a bedroom that can be closed off from the rest of the space. There is a great outdoor space for relaxing and entertaining.

We found the location to be perfect for us. It is within easy walking distance of downtown Marquette. We enjoyed a great breakfast at Third Street Bagels, we enjoyed Blackrocks Brewery and Ore Docks Brewery. We walked the historic mining trail for a while. The Canyon Gorge and Falls are an easy hour drive.

The listing and pictures are accurate regarding location, layout and amenities. It was clean and well maintained. It was a pleasure chatting with Allison while we were there. We would recommend this property for couples visiting Marquette.

Great location and wonderful amenities.

  • 5 of 5

This rental is the perfect location. It is a short walk to downtown shops, restaurants, and breweries. It is also a short drive to many of the beautiful hikes and sites around Marquette. The rental has plenty of indoor space but also has a huge, peaceful outdoor area to lay back and relax. Allison and her dog Loki were great fun to converse with and play with while we relaxed outside. We will definitely return when we are back in Marquette!

Perfect for a couple or a small family.

  • 5 of 5

We were pleased with the nice interior and updated kitchen. We had friends and family for dinner and to visit which would have been impossible in a hotel. Allison is friendly and accommodating.
