Lovely 1 bdrm flat with terrace
My husband and I stayed here for five days with our 14 month old. The flat was beautifully decorated with built in shelvings, art and custom paint trim that gave it a really fun, Italian beach vacation vibe.
Here are some highlights and notes:
- Sparkling clean flat. I have never stayed in a cleaner place and it put us immediately at ease.
- Terrace has beautiful views of the hills and town and is a nice way to unwind with a glass of wine after a hot day. It is not babyproofed, with open rails and staircase so we did not let the baby run around on it. The apartment itself was very toddler friendly.
- The bedroom has a small couch and queen bed. The living room has a couch with pull out bed. There are extra linens and towels and even 4 bath robes.
- The kitchen had what we needed to cook our meals every day.
- The bathtub was spacious and comfortable.
- There are skylights throughout the flat and every window is equipped with versatile German windows. There is also an A/C unit.
- There were useful extras like citronella candles, beach towels and a beach umbrella.
- The walk was long, perhaps 20-25 minutes to the Bay of Silence but we didn't mind it. It was a flat walk with lots to see and two grocery stores along the way that we stopped at daily (a bio/organic store and the bigger Coop).
- There are several flights of stairs to get from the gate to the flat. This was a surprise but not a game changer.
- The flat is in the attic space so it has pitched ceilings. My tall husband did bang his head several times but he still loved the flat and said he'd stay there again.
- Gaetano lives below.
Gaetano was a kind and gracious host, accommodating our every request promptly and picking us up and driving us to the train station which was a boon with all of our luggage. You can tell he has tried to think of everything to make the flat as comfortable and delightful as possible.
Overall, we were very happy with the accommodation and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Customers from the United States do not arrive every day until here, but this year is already the second time this happens.
In both cases, even if they were absolutely different people from every point of view, the result was the same: very satisfied guests.
This is very important for me: this means that there is a very high standard of reception here...
we enjoyed the apartment, which was comfortable, sunny and cozy.View was spectacular. What made more pleasant was Mr. Zambon. the owner. He took us sightseeing, shopping and a perfect guide. Location was good. A number of steps to climb, We are both over 80 but had no problem

Every time I receive guests who come from far away, my goal is to try to make their stay easier by providing my availability as much as I can.
If I succeed, it is a great satisfaction for me to receive the appreciation from my guests.
Quiet and away from centre
A clean and cute apartment on the fringes of Sestri. A 15 min walk into the centre of town. The area felt safe and peaceful. Our host was very accommodating, offering to collect us from station, take us on an excursion. Everything was explained about the apartment. There was a hidden charge of 20 euros on the last day for aircon. That was the only disappointment as we thought it was included in the price. Other than that we had a lovely holiday.
I'm sorry for your disappointment about the cost of using air conditioning, but in inserting this it is clearly highlighted. The only optional charges are heating and air conditioning. This is the first time a customer experiences this inconvenience and I thank you for highlighting it. I'll talk to you about Homelidays to understand why you did not have this information.
P.S .: On September the 3th Homelidays has verified the portal where you saw the announcement and confirmed the existence of the information that you may not have read.
In this regard, could you review your opinion? Thank you.
We have stayed in many apartments in France, Spain and Italy and this was our favourite.
The apartment was bigger than we expected. The bedroom is large and there is a full size bath. The kitchen is OK and the sitting room is excellent with a three sitter settee and two comfortable chairs. There was lots of storage and all the rooms have plenty of light.
Right outside the door is a terrace with enough room to eat and relax. From there there is a nice view over the town and a lovely view over the hills. As an extra bonus you have the use of a small area of garden with welcome dappled shade.
It is a level 15 minute walk into town and the sandy beach at the Baia Silenzo, Despite being so close to everything the apartment is really quiet which for Italy must be almost unique. The only thing noisier than the crickets was the church bells.
Gaeanto is a charming and interesting host. Take the opportunity to have a chat.
So lots of positives, we haven't any negatives.
Bright and airy apartment in a quiet neighbourhood within an easy stroll of the action.
We had a great week in Sestri Levante. The accommodation is bright, airy and spacious for a one-bedroom apartment. The balcony, just off the living area, is perfect for meals outdoors and has the bonus of scenic views. The local supermarket, only a short walk away, has a good variety of local produce that can be cooked up in the well-equipped kitchen, and the restaurants are not far away. Gaetano, the owner, is friendly and very helpful.
Sestri Levante is a very convenient base for exploring the local region, and has the benefit of feeling more Italian than the Cinque Terre towns, which are very popular with foreign tourists. We did not take as many excursions as planned because we enjoyed Sestri Levante and the apartment so much.
When in 2011 I decided to make my house available to others, I could not imagine how much this reality is constantly appreciated especially by those who come from far.
This makes me happy and eager to improve the offer to potential customers so that they can spend an unforgettable vacation.
We've just returned from a wonderful week staying at Gaetano's charming apartment in Sestri Levante. It's conveniently placed for the beach, station and town, yet extremely peaceful with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills from the terrace. The apartment was clean and well-stocked and Gaetano was extremely helpful, collecting us from the station and providing us with a very welcome bottle of wine on arrival! Sestri Levante is an absolute gem (this was our second visit), fantastic beaches and lush surroundings, and easy to reach by train. Looking forward to returning soon.
A young pair of parents with extremely quiet children of Swedish nationality: the ideal guests for any residence.
Every feature of the house and surroundings was appreciated and enjoyed by everyone and I saw a veil of sadness when they returned to Northern Europe.
