Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday cabin in Baderville - Grand Canyon Basecamp!

Imaculately CLEAN. 1/2 Mile From Snow Bowl Road On 2.5 Acres

Beautiful and CLEAN chalet style located only 1/2 mile west of Snowbowl road and sitting on 2.5 acres of mixed meadow and forest, you will love being able to return from your ski outing or the Grand Canyon without sitting in traffic heading back into Flagstaff. The most convenient access to Flagstaff Nordic Center for cross country skiing, Snowbowl, Wing Mountain snow play area, and the Grand Canyon.

The main living area has floor to ceiling view windows looking south with a beautiful view of A-Mountain. Look out the large windows viewing east and gaze at Mount Elden to the east. Step outside and the majestic San Francisco Peaks tower directly above!

3 bedroom, 2 bath with rooms. Master suite upstairs has outside deck access and brand new queen mattress. The master suite also has a leather euro style futon sleeper. Two downstairs bedrooms one with a queen, the other with a full size bed. The living room features a plush queen size sleeper sofa for warm sleeping in front of the quaint wood burning stove.

Outdoor living area features a fire-pit for roasting marshmallows while star gazing at the crystal clear sky, a two-side wrap around deck, patio table and chairs to enjoy morning coffee while watching deer and elk graze in the meadow. A huge, separate detached storage shed to securely store your skis, bikes, or any other outdoor equipment. Two and a half car oversized garage with plenty of room to accommodate large SUVs.

Guests are welcome to do their own laundry while staying and have full access to the full size washer and dryer.

Need to do a little work while staying? Guests have access to high speed internet and Wi-Fi. Main living area has flat screen television, with BlueRay / DVD and Roku media player.

Prepare your own meals rather than eating out! Fully furnished kitchen with everything you need to prepare your own homemade meals. Just provide the ingredients! Stay warm at night with the rustic wood burning stove that can more than keep you warm at night or turn on the brand new furnace - your choice! Get a little warm during the day, drop the temperature on the brand new air conditioning unit.

Most importantly, we take pride in providing clean accommodations. Clean bathrooms, linens, kitchen, floors, furniture, everything. You won't find a cleaner vacation home.

About Cory Davidson

We are from Phoenix and have lived in the valley for over 30 years. After retreating to Flagstaff year after year, we decided to purchase a property and figured it would be nice to share the property with others, perhaps even Phoenicians similar to us!

We are very experienced Grand Canyon backpackers as well. So, if you have any questions about where to hike or how to plan a Grand Canyon backpacking adventure, or just a day hike in the Grand Canyon, we are happy to share our insight!

Why Cory Davidson chose Flagstaff

We spend a lot of our time outdoors and we could not find a more perfect location than this property. Sitting on 2.5 acres, we can be home in a matter of a few minutes from a day on the slopes or on the trails.

What makes this cabin unique

The home itself it very unique, one of a kind! Hardwood oak floors, natural hardwood exposed ceilings, wood burning stove (yet still with full A/C and heat), wrap around deck. Convenient access to the highway, especially useful during winter, but still secluded enough on 2.5 acres to feel quiet and peaceful at night.

The home was built very specifically to trap the day's warm temperatures with it's floor to ceiling south facing windows. On a cold winter 30 degree day, the temperature indoors will often rise to 70 degrees without the use of the heater or wood burning stove. Very unique!

Enjoyed this home in cool Flagstaff

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed staying in this home. It's just far enough out of town to feel like you're in the woods but a short drive to everything in Flagstaff. We were escaping the Phoenix heat and had such a wonderful time. There's a lot to do in Flagstaff in the summer!. The house was comfortable, we had more than enough room, spent a lot of time out on the deck and even had a couple of early morning fires in the wood burning stove! We cooked most of our meals and only needed to bring a few things from home.

Great location, lots of room and great price for a month long rental in summer in Flagstaff!

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

I booked this place for my friend's visit during the Memorial Day holiday, the owner was fantastic!! Always very responsive to all questions we had before the arrival. I didn't stay in this beautiful house due to my schedule, but my friends loved it! And it is very convenient to Grand Canyon. Definitely will stay again next time!

Awesome Chalet

  • 5 of 5

Excellent location on the outskirts of town with easy access to major roads . We explored the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Page , lava river cave ( take extra headlights or flashlights), and went to Pheonix! So much to do couldn't fit it all in.

The home as super clean with everything you need for linens and kitchen. Views and morning sunrise over the mountain are outstanding. Master deck perfect for hordevors and sunsets. Perfect location if you are skiing although we ran out of time for that. Beds are soooo comfortable with lots of extra space for living room pullout and master futon if needed. Wood burning fireplace is cozy . Be sure to hit Oreganos in town ( make reservations it's ALWAYS busy)and the Ski Lift lodge @ the base of Snowbowl road for chicken pot pie!

We didn't want to leave!!!

Thank you Cory for an excellent , no hassle trip!!!

A fantastic adventure!

  • 5 of 5

The accommodations were great. The cabin was located just outside of Flagstaff with a fantastic view. It is close to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. but still in the woods. It was a great place to stay and explore all the Flagstaff area has to offer. We enjoyed visiting the Grand Canyon but really enjoyed more visiting the other National Monuments, Sunset Crater etc., around Flagstaff. They were a lot more intimate. We expect to be back, there is much more to explore.

Great place, perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay over a weekend in January to let our kids play in the snow. The place was nice and well stocked-minus some paper towels but no big deal. Owners were very responsive via text message throughout the stay. Our daughter left one of her dolls at the home by accident and the owners shipped the doll back to us at no cost, even though we offered to reimburse! Hopefully we'll be back again in the future.

Owner's Response: Thanks again for staying at our vacation home, Tomas. We're always happy to return anything left behind. Especially baby dolls that were left lovingly swaddled in bed sheets. Our apologies for the oversight on the paper towels, that's something we always provide, just neglected to leave them out for you during your stay. Thanks again for staying, and hope you'll stay again in the future.

Great house!

  • 5 of 5

This house was great! We were lucky enough to arrive after a fresh snowfall. The house had a beautiful snow covered field in the back that my daughters loved playing in. We were about 2 hours from the Grand Canyon, an hour and a half from Sedona, 1 hour from Meteor Crater, and thirty minutes from Walnut Canyon. The only thing I regret is not coming through Sedona from Phoenix so we could discover this beautiful scenic drive earlier. There are so many things to do that we could not fit everything in and this house was the perfect base camp for it all. It was clean and had everything we needed.
