Beautiful renovated and spacious farmhouse in the heart of the charming mountain village Seytroux. Seytroux has a little convenience supermarket, restaurant with terrace and bar which is all on walking distance (200m) from 'The Barnwood'. 'The Barnwood’ offers accommodation to 10 people. Large open plan living room with original sunbeams. Converted double height barn, parquet floors and impressive fireplace. New spacious kitchen with all the equipment you need. 5 double spacious bedrooms with parquet or sea grass flooring, 3 bathrooms and a large playing/TV room called ‘The Stable’. The living room has patio doors leading to the covered balcony with beautiful views on the mountains. Playroom with large flat screen TV, DVD, pool table. Separate heated storage cave/ room for ski's, boots and other materials. In the farmhouse are 2 large flat screen TVs, Nintendo Wii and wireless Internet, WiFi. In the winter it's a beautiful location for skiing and in the summer and spring you can play tennis, wild water rafting, swim, golf in Les Gets and of course can take beautiful walks in the mountains.

About Martin Nederhoed

First we would like to welcome you in the farmhouse “The Barnwood”. This farm is more than 3 generations used as a farm and it was a working farm till the 1990s. The farm is fully transformed and renovated for usage as a farmhouse in 2005. We have bought this property in 2010 and added the playing room ‘the Stable’, the 3rd shower room, the washing cabinet and the cave for the ski material and refurnished the farmhouse for ourselves and our guests. We aim to meet the needs of all our guests and would like to get your input as well any suggestion to improve the experience of your holiday. We would like to wish you a great stay.

"We had a very nice stay in Seytroux. The barnwoood was well equiped and very spacious.

Stores, skishops, portes du soleil are reachable within a max. 20 min. drive. Also a nice stay for non skiers: you can start hiking in front of the door. Nice contact with the owner."

"Difficile d''expliquer ce qu''est farmhouse ''The Barnwood'' sans la montrer. C''est le nom de cette ancienne ferme entièrement rénovée en maison de très haut standing. C''était ce que nous recherchions et nous avons été satisfait au delà de nos attentes. Cette maison est tout simplement magique, vaste, décorée avec un gout exceptionnel de ses propriétaires. Tout cela au cœur d''un petit village très calme de haute savoie... Sérénité totale garantie. Les gens y sont très sympathiques. Nous avons pu visiter les gorges du pont du diable à quelques minutes, le lac de Montriond, Avoriaz, Morzine, Evian, Thonon les bains ou génève. Malheureusement nous ne sommes pas restés assez longtemps (juste 5 jours) et c''est avec les larmes que nous sommes rentrés sur Paris. A l''unanimité des membres de ma famille, nous y retournerons sans nous faire supplier et je vous le recommande fortement. Ah farmhouse ''The Barnwood'' ça ne s''explique pas, il faut y aller!!!!"

"Magnifique semaine d''hiver passée dans cette maison. L''intérieur est immense et très bien équipé. Nous étions 8 adultes et 4 enfants et nous avions tous notre espace. La salle de loisir (avec billard et Tv + wii)nous a permis de passer de très bon moment ainsi que des moments très chaleureux dans la grande pièce de vie avec la cheminée. En plus, le village est très calme."

During your stay you can contact Xtra Property Management for any enquiry as they look after our chalet. They take care for ‘meet and greet’ on arrival and will assess the house at departure. They will take care for the linen and the cleaning. Any additional services like arranging ski passes, lessons, day events, etc can be booked by them, against a fee. In the house are the manuals of all equipment.
