Ali’s Beach House is a lovely, recently built coastal holiday home that sits on the edge of Arinaga Beach, Gran Canaria. It is set directly by the sea, has uninterrupted sea views and a huge roof terrace from which to enjoy it. The House is in the Cabron Marine Reserve, an area of Marine Conservation.
The coastal town of Arinaga is a peaceful, charming destination away from the tourist resorts on the island. It is ideal for divers, those looking for a beach holiday in a local setting, travellers wishing to explore the island and those travelling with pets.
We were met by Alison's sister upon our arrival and given keys.
The house is very modern, well maintained and split across 3 floors
1 downstairs shower and toilet and one upstairs bath, shower and toilet. All bedrooms had plenty of storage space.
We loved the sun terrace and enjoyed watching the sunrise and eating breakfast there.
Hob, oven, microwave, toaster, smart tv, wifi all there and working.
The house is opposite a rocky beach and a short walk (5 mins) along the front brings you to the main areas of Arinaga and some cafe/ eating places.
We hired a car and drove to Playa Del Ingles and Maspalomas as with kids we preferred the sandy beaches and sun loungers etc.
The views from the house go over some wasteland and road outside (very quiet) and out to sea.
The house is 5 mins to petrol station and about 10 mins to Lidl for local shopping. 30-40 mins and you are at Playa Del Ingles.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this place, Alison is friendly, easily contactable and everything was exactly as we would have liked it
We stayed here for a week at the end of january 2015. We had tons of space as a couple. The house is beautiful, tastefully decorated throughout with artistic touches. It has a great kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and a huge rooftop terracw with sea views. We loved staying here and walking around the village. Easy access from the airport and beautiful places to visit nearby. Owners and family a delight to deal with.
We are a family with 3 children and we have been in this house during the Easter vacation. We had a great time there. Its a beautiful house with a perfect view to the sea. The rooms are all tasty furnished. We felt very comfortable. The owner was very friendly and helpful. It seems that there live not many foreign tourists in the neighbourhood. We found nice little restaurants with typical canarian food in the neighbourhood. We liked to go to a typical little bakery each morning to buy some rolls for breakfast.
Arinaga is also a perfect place to start a trip to several touristic points or to big beaches. But Arinaga itself also has a nice little beach.
Resumed we had a wonderful time and are looking forward to come again next year.
A house which looks great on the pictures but is even much greater in realty. Astonishing sunrise from the livingroom, a fantastic roof terrace with full sun, az excellent large and well equipped kitchen and a quiet, authentic neighbourhood. What do you need more for a great holiday! The house is clean, neat and has a very helpful and friendly owner. Lots of small things, toys for kids, all reflecting that the owner knows what you need for a family holiday. Definitely a place to recommend.
We were 3 adults and 3 children in Alison's house for 10 days. It is a GREAT house in a GREAT little spot! We loved the community feeling in Arinaga (everyone was really friendly) and that there was really a feeling of being away from mass tourism. The kids loved the beaches with rock pools with plenty of exploration opportunities! There is a gem of a sand beach in the marine natural reserve a 15 min walk from the house.
We were told it can get quite windy in the winter (there is a famous windsurfing spot nearby) and we had some light wind also - which was merely refreshing in the warm sunny weather.
I would recommend renting a car for serious grocery shopping and not the least to get around the island, Arinaga is a very good base for day trips. It was really nice to get back to the quiet ambiance in Playa de Arinaga after a day in the busy south!
The house is modern with all amenities we could expect and in top notch conditions. The roof terrace is really nice. It appears they are planning to install A/C which I suspect might be appreciated in the summer.
Alison and her sister were very responsive and friendly before and during our stay, we couldn't ask for a better guest experience!
All in all we had a great stay in this gem of a summer house - and its great value for money!
"A great place to spend a holiday with a beautiful seaview from the roof terrace.
The house is clean and has a great kitchen for those who like to cook.
I liked that there were a big bathtub and a shower in the upstairs bathroom, which gave you a choice every time you wanted to clean up.
The roof terrace is great, spent quite a few mornings having my breakfast and evening supper there.
The owner gave me a map with supermarkets, cheap eats, and local restaurants marked out whick were helpful.
Nearby is a restaurant called hornos de la cal that has great seafood, the catch of the day is often great.
All in all the house is great and offers great value for money, especially for larger groups."
Arinaga is a charming coastal town which is dotted with many beaches and some of the best diving sites in the Canaries. The town has a relaxed, laid-back feel all year round and boasts many good bars and restaurants suiting all budgets as well as the usual facilities found in any town, such as supermarkets, chemists, library, newsagents etc. Arinaga has a coastal promenade. The 'Avenida' serves as a meeting point for locals. It borders the entire town and is polular with friends and families taking a stroll, particularly in the evenings. Arinaga is a popular weekend and summer destination for locals, attracted by its relaxed atmosphere, its numerous beaches and places to eat.
