Lovely big house with friendly owner

Lovely house with friendly easy going owner. I really cannot understand the previous negative review regarding this property. This is exceptional value for money, a large and spacious clean house. Everything works and is well equipped (the oven is dated but works) The swimming pool was great and the kids enjoyed it every day upon our return from days out for the 18 days we were there and the pool man visited every week to check it and service it. The hot water never ran out which is usually an issue we have with rental properties when 12 people are showering.

The house and all bedding was clean. It is not an interior designer property but you get what you pay for (and this house is really great value) If you are looking for a clean spacious basic house for a large family and friends holiday with a friendly easy going owner than this is for you.

Badly maintained, to be avoided

We stayed here for a fortnight with a group of 3 families containing 6 young children.

Negatives- The owner is negligent and disinterested in maintaining the property. Don't believe the website, he doesn't speak a word of English or any language other than Spanish.

1) The swimming pool had dangerously high levels of Chlorine. Fortunately, one of our party is a pool engineer who has partly rectified the chlorine level to a safe range. This resulted in two daya where we could not use the pool. However, this should be the job of the owner to fix and will need to be maintained. There are also numerous loose or broken tiles in the pool.

2) The Oven and hob are in a very bad condition which made cooking very hard. The kitchen needs to be renewed and ripped out.

3) Very few pots, pans and no oven trays. Very small kettle and broken coffee perculator.

4) Beds are camp beds and very uncomfortable. Bedding (sheets) supplied are very low quality and mattresses and pillows were filthy with black mould on some.

5) Broken toilet seats

6) Rusty or broken fixings in bathroom

7) No netting or door grilles to keep out the mosquitos and bugs at night

8) Fridge/Freezer is not functioning properly and the fridge temperature is high. This part of the fridge not working, although freezer is ok.

9) Dishwasher- Cutlery tray has large holes in so cutlery falls out, disrupting the spin of the washer blades. Needs replacing

10) No air conditioning so the house is like a furnace on hot evenings.

11) Missing keys so some of the doors cannot be locked

12) TV has numerous hard-core German porn channels so not great when you have young children used to channel hopping with the remote control.

13) Bidets not working

The house still has "James Villas" stickers all over but this is not a property they market as it fails their high standards.

Positives. It's large with a garage and looks good from the outside with a nice terrace. Close to the seafront and a 10 minute drive to the town and nearest supermarket.

To summarise, it needs a relatively small amount of money spending to bring it up to a good standard. In the state it currently is in, it's best avoided. The owner is negligent in understanding he has a duty of care to residents, otherwise he'll continue to get bad reviews like this and lose business. Especially, when he doesn't take responsibility for the care of children using the pool, ensuring the chlorine levels are safe. VERY POOR, TO BE AVOIDED.

Owner's Response: It is very unfortunate to have clients like the ones I have had, who do not want to pay, who threaten to write a very negative comment if you collect taxes, taxes and everything that is established. The house has been in the market for ten years and has never had a negative comment except this one, I have many repetitive people and everyone is going to love the house. This year the two current reservations are from repeat customers from the previous year, even one of them was in my house after these lamentable clients passed. I live 100 meters from this house and I am always available for anything that may arise, I will not discuss the barbarities that these customers say but I have at disposal of the one who wants an email of those clients threatening to write the writing that they have done if I do not give them the money back from taxes, taxes, etc. Very grateful to hear my words. Es muy desafortunado tener clientes como los que he tenido, que no quieren pagar, que amenazan con escribir un comentario muy negativo si cobran impuestos, impuestos y todo lo que se establece. La casa ha estado en el mercado durante diez años y nunca ha tenido un comentario negativo excepto este, tengo muchas personas repetitivas y todo el mundo va a encantar la casa. Este año las dos reservas actuales son de clientes de repetición del año anterior, incluso uno de ellos estaba en mi casa después de que estos lamentables clientes pasaron. Yo vivo a 100 metros de esta casa y siempre estoy disponible para cualquier cosa que pueda surgir, no voy a discutir las barbaridades que estos clientes dicen pero tengo a disposición de quien quiere un correo electrónico de aquellos clientes que amenazan con escribir la escritura que ellos Lo he hecho si no les doy el dinero de impuestos, impuestos, etc. Muy agradecido de escuchar mis palabras. Es ist sehr unglücklich, dass Kunden wie die, die ich gehabt habe, die nicht bezahlen wollen, wer droht, einen sehr negativen Kommentar zu schreiben, wenn man Steuern, Steuern und alles, was etabliert ist, sammeln. Das Haus ist seit zehn Jahren auf dem Markt und hat noch nie einen negativen Kommentar außer diesem, ich habe viele Wiederholungsleute und jeder wird das Haus lieben. In diesem Jahr sind die beiden aktuellen Reservierungen von den Wiederholungskunden aus dem Vorjahr, selbst einer von ihnen war in meinem Haus, nachdem diese beklagenswerten Klienten vergangen waren. Near of the Cabrera island with a greatfull sea.

Perfect acomodation.

Pasamos unos días tranquilos y la verdad que estuvimos encantados con la casa. Es grande y dispone de una gran piscina en la parte trasera. Esta en una zona tranquila y tiene increíbles playas muy cerca. El propietario estuvo muy pendiente e incluso nos facilito mucha información de la isla.

Super Lage, großzügiges Haus, super Preis/Leistung

Wir haben hier mit 8 Personen (2 Familien) 10 wundervolle Tage verbracht. Das Haus ist groß, der Pool hat jede Menge Spaß gebracht. Die Lage ist sehr gut, man ist mit dem Auto in 5 Minuten am Es Trenc Strand und auch schnell bei anderen lohnenswerten Zielen. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war immer nett. Auch wenn ein paar Kleinigkeiten bei der Ausstattung zu verbessern wären (z. B. Kaffemaschine, scharfe Messer), haben wir uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und das Haus für das Folgejahr wieder gebucht. Wir freuen uns schon sehr darauf.
