Initially built in the 15th century as a priory (small detached abbey for a dozen monks), at a time when they could choose the best environment (and view!), it has been enlarged in the following century.
The main floor has a drawing-room (with high quality stereo), desk-room (with high speed internet connection, fax and printer), dining-room and kitchen. Our 10 day stay at La Chauviniere was unparalleled! The chateau and cottage accommodation was exceptional and the property was beautifully maintained: a wonderful combination of formal gardens and the outlying areas very natural. The owner was most helpful and the managers of the property very accommodating. This personal attention to every detail made our stay truly memorable.
