It is carefully decorated completely renovated, very bright with view of a large avenue but very well sound proofed. Large choice of restaurant in the area. Charming apartment in good location

This is a quaint 4th floor apartment with windows that open on to the Rue de Gobelins. There are street cafes and Rue Mouftard very close with a range of speciality food shops, plus a carrefour for the obligatory spag bolog when the cullinary inspiration just isnt there. This is a good location with easy Metro access to the sights. the owner always replied to e mails and was very accommodating when we had to change dates as a result of the train strike.

Tremendous value for the money. Apartment is imperfect in charming ways and felt like home!

A bit farther south than we typically stay in Paris, but the Gobelins Metro station (almost outside the front door) connected to everything. Plus the walk north to Contrascarpe, Monge, and the Seine wasn’t too far. Right in the neighborhood are found small grocery stores for cooking/eating in, as well as reasonable and friendly restaurants. Apartment is not air conditioned and so was warm sometimes overnight. However, a small fan helped, as did opening windows front and back for cross-breeze.

Carmen was very kind to wait for our unexpectedly late arrival. She showed us how everything worked, changed a light bulb, and made a pot of coffee to share a cup with us before she left.

Circuit breaker tripped on second day, but was an easy fix that didn’t require calling Carmen.

Tiny elevator was helpful for transportation of luggage (and us when we were tired), but mainly we just climbed the five flights of stairs. No noise whatsoever from other apartments. Street noise could be loud when windows were open, but closed windows shut out all that noise very well. Hot water was instant, reliable, and apparently abundant (three people with daily showers).

Overall great stay, and would stay here again, as location and space are very good value.

Muy lindo departamento!

Muy cálido, cómodo equipado y limpio. El metro 7 en la esquina. Muy buen acceso. Para mejorar, un horno grill. Y me parece que en el piso de arriba estaban en obra, con lo cual sentíamos bastante el ruido x las mañanas. Salvo eso, un excelente lugar para hacer base en París! :)

Adequate, great location

The apartment was clean and convenient. The location perfect. Anne answered my questions by email. I would return to this apartment if the peeling paint in the bathroom was fixed. The metal cabinets were unattractive, but there were enough dishes, towels, etc. Loved Paris.

Very nice flat for 4 - great area of town!

Enjoyed our stay very much, the area is great, everything around from supermarkets, bakers, restaurants and the Rue Mufftard in 5 Minutes walking distance. City bicicle rent just oposite. Flat sufficiently sized for 4 people (double bed for couple in one bedroom, two beds for teenager daughters in other bedroom), small kitchen, bathroom with seperate toilet and a living room. Nicly furnished, clean, good window insulation - no street noise at all with closed windows. Very friendly and organised host - great stay!

Sad Loved Paris but the flat not so much

The location was great and the price was fair but the condition of this flat was not good. Communication with the owner was poor. I was told I did not respond and I had. We had one active phone and the number and email were sent. Owner on vacation (which we knew ahead of time). The person taking her place also not available and the third person spoke Spanish. Biggest concern, peeling walls in the bathroom and mold on the ceiling. Difficult door lock, door to toilet didn't close. I will say we loved Paris, but this flat needs lots of work.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately we suffered a lot of water damage 2 months ago from the apartment above. Before carrying out the repairs, several expertises carried out by the insurance companies were necessary. We should now be able to repair these damaged parts by the end of the month. We are aware of the inconvenience and are doing everything possible to resolve this situation as soon as possible. For information and to show that we take care of the apartment we have just changed some of the furniture of the living room with a new table and new armchairs ....
