Situated in the small , well maintained luxury complex of Le Bois Senis , just outside the picturesque village of Les Forges. The house can accommodate up to 6 people comfortably.

There is a private heated swimming pool in the garden of the house for the exclusive use of guests. This pool has an electrically operated cover for safety when the pool is not in use.

There is also a large communal swimming pool in the centre of the complex , for use by owners and guests.

The house has 2 bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, and a separate shower room.

The spacious lounge contains a comfortable sofa bed which sleeps 2 people. This large lounge is open plan with the dining area and well equipped kitchen.

The house provides a comfortable and well appointed house for relaxing after a rewarding day visiting places of local interest, or simply chilling out around the terrace , pool and garden.

The garden is well maintained and it's Southerly aspect overlooks open fields to the East.

There is electric heating throughout the house and an enclosed wood-burning stove is also provided for additional comfort if required.

A 40-inch HD Samsung TV with home cinema system is installed , together with Blue-ray DVD. Sky TV is available.

The kitchen area is fully equipped with ample cutlery and crockery and ceramic hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine/drier.

There is a lovely covered terrace area and barbecue.

Loved the rural setting, and liked the design of the complex and house.

Ideal base for relaxing and exploring the areas between the Loire valley and the Durdogne.

Back for a second year

This is the second year we have stayed at the villa. It is peaceful and just like stepping into the pictures. The pretty villa is high spec and has the charm without the old fashioned inconveniences of an old villa. The sun terrace gets sun for most of the day and a lovely sun trap in the afternoon / evening. The pool is heated all the time so excellent for an early or late swim and surrounded by very well maintained gardens with a lovely view over adjoining field.

Our children are six and one year old and it was pretty easy to keep an eye on them. Two minutes away is a large communal pool with a climbing frame.

The local village has an amazing boulangerie with cakes to die for and any locals we came across were very friendly. The journey to / from Calais was virtually traffic free 2nd / 16th August (about 7hrs) so not too bad a day travelling but within minutes of arriving one is on a worry free holiday.

The meet and greet speaks English and is very welcoming. The owner in terms of contact and providing all that one needs in the villa makes this feel a home from home – cannot recommend highly enough.

"In a nutshell - fantastic holiday in a great setting with wonderful hosts ! And all that in the low season !!!

Booking: we were positively impressed by Alastair''s redness to help and to furnish us with every small detail we were asking for. At arrival we were met (picked in the middle of nowhere :) where we were lost due to satnav faul) by Patricia - the agent and she gave all details about the property and surroundings.

Property: all as pictured, no surprises. Perfectly maintained house, rather big but small enough to be warm and home-like. Great surroundings. Everything was working well and we did not require any special help. As it was a low season not much people around.

Stay: we traveled a lot and in this respect the place is well located. Just 15-20 minutes of a nice drive take you to a-10 (toll motorway which will bring you to various places around from wonderful Loire valley down to the city of Bordeaux and all in just few hours).

So, great place for a holiday, should be even better in season.
