Wonderful stay - loved the view
Wonderful London Locations
This is a wonderful location, close to all amenities, excellent transport links to the rest of the city and an amazing view of the river and Tower Bridge. In a very quiet location, streets were tidy and walkable. We felt very safe walking home from Tower Bridge station at 12:30 a.m. Excellent communication from the host and easy access to the flat. I would highly recommend staying here.
Our family of 4 (2 children) stayed in this apartment for a week. It was perfect! We loved the location right on the water, and enjoyed morning runs along the river. Beautiful view of Tower Bridge, and walking distance to restaurants and train stops. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again!!
Nice home. Having 2 bedrooms and bathrooms was key for us, but master bath shower was extremely small. If you’re over 5’10”, you have to use the hall bath to shower.
Distances are further than in the owners notes. No less than 60 min to/from Heathrow even with little traffic. 15 min walk to tube station not 7 min.
Kitchen was adequate, but the French press, was broken. There is a Nescafé individual coffee maker, but we had already bought ground coffee having seen the press. So that was a waste.
Perfect location, quiet yet close to everything.
Enjoyed our stay, felt very safe and convenient to everything. Kitchen well stocked, blow dryers in the bathrooms. Could use a few more towels however it does have an under the counter washer/dryer combo. Great Restaurants and Tesco grocery store all in walking distance.
Lovely View, Easy Walk to Attractions
We loved the location of this property! The apartment is directly on the river. You can indeed see Tower Bridge, which is breathtaking as the lights come up in the evening. Some small cruise liners drifted down the river, but all they got to do was drive by - I hope they weren't powdering their nose! Lucky us, we got to stay. A walking bridge across a small inlet sets you on a very agreeable walk along the riverfront. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Tower Bridge. There are pedestrian walkways to points of interest on the other side of the river, like the Tower of London.(There is a Starbucks there). Aong the way on the apartnent's side of the river there are lots of interesting bar & restaurant choices, including vegan options sufficient in interest & range to make our 21 year old daughter say, "Ooooh!" We had delicious food, & at reasonable cost there. We stayed in the property over Christmas, & found the Christmas market along the riverfront fun. A seven-to-ten minute walk to a grocery store netted us options to eat in using the fully equipped kitchen, but restaurant options were available even on Christmas day. Great attractions were very walkable, even at Christmastime. I'm not sure if our weather was typical or not, but daytime temps were around 50° with one rainy day in the week. With comfortable walking shoes & reasonable weather, one might venture on foot to St. Paul's Cathedral. We were happier Uber-ing to St. Paul's, then walking to Westminster Abbey & Hyde Park from there, as those attractions require rather a lot of time on your feet in themselves. The point here is that much of downtown is accessible on foot. The apartment was very clean & comfortable for our family of three with it's two bedrooms & two full baths. The quiet apartment is located in a quiet residential neighborhood... which somehow happens to back up to vibrant downtown London just on the opposite side of your building! We never heard neighbors, cars, or even noise from the waterfront. We will certainly consider another stay here next time we're in London.
