Tamarind Tree apartment offers 'a haven away from home' to visitors seeking tranquility and comfort while still having close access to restaurants, fast food outlets, supermarkets, pubs and the beach.

The beachfront property is situated at Paynes Bay beach along the West Coast of Barbados and is approximately:

The apartment's elevation allows for cool breeze ventilation and a panoramic view of our garden, fish pond and the ocean, from its bay windows and seaside porch. A sea side tree perch is expected to be added shortly for our visitors uninterupted sunset viewing.

The property consist of two bedrooms (with air conditioning) - one bedroom contains a queen-size bed and the other two twin beds; two bathrooms with Living area and patio tastefully decorated for our visitors comfort. The open plan kitchen and Living room has a ceiling fan to assist with air circulation. Guest are treated to complimentary refreshment on arrival and all special request are attended to promptly.

About Madaline Headley-Woodroffe

Hi my name is Madaline and I am married to William. We are the owners of the Tamarind Tree Apartment who also live on the premises. I grew up on the beautiful lush and rugged east coast of the island. I married to William and moved to this side of the island where we raised 2 beautiful daughters - Indra and Tyra. As this location is home to us we were always being praised for our location and hospitality when entertaining but only saw it as home until we decided to add the apartment.

William is a qualified graduate secondary school teacher of Mathematics while I work in business development with a government agency. Our kids are now in university seeking to lead their own lives.

Why Madaline Headley-Woodroffe chose Sandy Lane

Our Apartment is well located along one of the more beautiful beaches on the West Coast of Barbados. We wanted to share our hospitality and our home with visitors to truly experience Barbadian culture in a village type setting similar to what we like to experience when we travel to other countries. Therefore we try to provide the comforts of home in an easy going holiday setting where locals are friendly and are always willing to assist you with anything if you need it. Females and the elderly are especially comfortable here and grateful for the helpfullness.

The location is safe and someone is always on the premises. Our apartment is a continuous evolving opportunity for us as we seek visitors ideas and needs to update our plant into what you like as well as what we like. This fusion will hopefully be more pleasing to all as we continue.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful and surprised us how close to the beach we were.

Are host and hostess were very generous. When we arrived we were given food and drink as a welcome. The hospitality could not have been better. This was a real find and wonderful place to be. Without question we would return.

Just lovely!

My family and I arrived to Barbados three hours before check-in time, and Madaline graciously told us it was fine to come. She directly spoke to the taxi driver, and we had no problem finding the property. When we arrived, we were pleasantly greeted by William who took us inside. The place is just as it shown, beautiful and clean. When the door to the balcony was opened, what a beautiful breath taking view of the sea; a 2 minute walk to jump in. During the day,there is a lovely sea breeze that keeps the apartment cool. There is AC in the two bedrooms, and they work very well (not noisy). The Wifi reception was excellent as well. As courtesy, William took us to the shoipping center, where there is a Large supermarket,, bank, pharmacy etc., and even dropped us off at church on Saturday morning (SDA).

The island's transportation run right in front of the apartment, and it takes about 15 minutes to get to Bridgetown. There are a good few delicious eateries nearby as well. Madaline has a food truck, and the food is very tasty! Even though my family and I did not do many activities on the lovely beach, there is plenty to do.

We had no problem at this stay. We approved!!

Simple Pleasures

Rented a car from the airport and began the journey with my wife and daughter to our destination on Payne's Bay on the west coast. It was very difficult to find the Tamarind Tree Apt as the sign was not easily visible from the road. We had to ask a taxi driver for help. When we arrived at the apt our first impression of the house was not the best. The front of the house looked like an unkempt storage facility with stuff strewn all over the place and I must admit I was very concerned that this is where I brought my family to spend March Break. However, we were met by William (owner) and he immediately made us feel at home.

William took us to our upstairs apt and when we walked in, we were so pleasantly surprised and literally blown away by how clean and comfortable our accommodation was. It was very roomy and neat with a steady strong Caribbean breeze blowing through and through. The bathrooms were spotless and the kitchen was adequate. The view from the front porch of the Caribbean Sea was spectacular.

A simple walk down from the apt leads onto the sandy beach. The water was stunning and warm, ideal for swimming and spending long hours.

All water sports activities were easily available right in front of the apt. From jet skiing to paddle boarding to snorkeling to swimming with the turtles to kayaking, is literally on your doorsteps.

Drinks and sandwiches are easily available from the cabanas in front the apt.

Our host, William, was always available and ready to make our stay happier.

We had beach chairs and umbrellas ready for us as soon as we went down each morning.

My daughter rated the accommodation and holiday an 11 out of 10.

Without a doubt, we will choose the Tamarind Tree Apt again for our next visit.

Great Location. Great Owners

The apartment is a good value if you want to be on the beach but not pay resort prices. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The town is a 5 minute bus ride to get supplies. There are a few reaturants in walking distance.
