Modern appartment in a great location

  • 5 of 5

This is a clean, spacious and modern appartment which we found to be a great base for exploring Rome

It's not in the centre but in a real neighbor hood which is interesting and it's quick and easy to get to all the main sights by bus or taxi

Gian Carlo and Valeria are very helpful and great hosts and provide maps and info plus the appartment has air conditioning!

A great find in Rome and I would definetly stay here again

Beautiful home in quiet location

  • 4 of 5

My friend and I traveled to Rome and stayed 5 nights in Gian Carlo and Valeria's beautiful guest home. The home was spacious, 2 bedrooms worked out perfect for my friend and I. Kitchen was also spacious and we were provided with necessary cooking tools, as well as coffee and sugar and espresso maker/coffee maker to start our day, I enjoyed sitting on the patio in the morning and having my coffee. The Trastevere area of Rome is beautiful, not very crowded, and we were able to walk to many places. Bus transportation is also easily accessible. Gian Carlo greeted us when we arrived, is very kind and provided us with helpful maps and information of where to go/what to do in the area. Every morning there is a farmers market just steps from the home, I loved buying fresh foods and souvenir type things from there. The supermarket is also a close walk, as are many shops and stores. The only issue we had with our stay had to do with not having hot water most of the days we were there, but Gian Carlo addressed this issue and kindly got it fixed. It was also nice being able to use the washer and laundry soap (provided) to catch up on washing our clothes before our next stop in Italy. Be prepared to hang dry your clothing on the racks (also provided). A couple side notes- the wifi was strongest in the living room (couldn't access it from our rooms) and the windows do not have screens as us Americans are used to, and leaving my window open at night for cool air left me with many mosquito bites. Bring mosquito spray if you're traveling in the spring/summer! Overall our stay was very nice, we would come back to Gian Carlos beatiful modern home.

Owner's Response: We are very sorry about the troubles we accidentally had during this stay with the electrical supply, which affeted both the water heating system and the wifi hotspot amplifier - it is under replacement right now. As regards mosquitos it is an increasing problem that we did not have when renovating the house, but we are now providing the windows with brand new screens so as to welcome back at our best for your next visit to Rome. Best wishes from Valeria and Gian Carlo.

Wonderful apartment in Rome

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in Rome due in part to the well equipped apartment and excellent customer service provided by Gian Carlo and Valeria. As hosts they were very friendly and helpful supplying printed maps and clear directions in how to maximise our precious time in Rome.

As previously mentioned in past reviews the 75 bus became a great way to head into the heart of Rome and then return at the end of the day virtually within metres from the apartment. Surrounding restaurants and a well equipped supermarket close by made for a pleasurable culinary experience away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas of Rome.

Our family enjoyed the well designed apartment and the ice cream parlour with a range of gelato flavours just doors from the apartment was a favourite for us all.

We definitely want to come back to Rome and the well set up apartment added to a fantastic experience for our family in this colourful and vibrant city.

Beautiful Apartment in a lovely area

  • 5 of 5

The Apartment was just as described , spotlessly clean, spacious and well designed. Plenty of room for our family of 5.

The Owner Gian Carlo and Valeria were there to meet us and provided us with printed maps, advice on how to get around and the best bit, a fantastic bottle of red wine !

The area is quiet but beautiful with many restaurants and ice cream parlours within easy walking distance.

The bus no 75 which leaves from the end of the street is a great way to start your sightseeing journey of Rome.

The morning market provides everything you need for a great breakfast, breads, cheeses and delicious cut meats.

We had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to recommend this as a place to stay when visiting Rome.

Wonderful Get-a-Way

  • 5 of 5

After a long day of travel to Rome, Gian and Valerria, welcomed us to their beautiful flat and made us feel at home. The apartment is extremely well planned and very clean, bright, and has an amazing inner courtyard. The apartment has all the amenities needed and is a quiet reprieve after a hectic, fun day of sight-seeing in Rome. Our hosts provided us with helpful maps and information to make our stay worry free and relaxing. We LOVED the open-air market around the corner and both nearby restaurants had GREAT Italian cuisine. It was extremely easy to navigate to all the sites via public transportation or on foot. We cannot stress enough what a truly wonderful experience this was for the two of us and our adult daughter.

Beautiful flat in quiet neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

You will love this well appointed flat in the Trastevere neighborhood. There are two terrific restaurants very near by and a farmers market 1/2 block away. The flat is charming and clean, with plenty of room. Gian Carlo and Valeria were very helpful during the booking process, and also during our stay. Go to Rome!
