At the 6th floor of a 1930's building with elevator.

44 sq. meters apartment.

The apartment is VERY WELL LAID-OUT : the two rooms are well separated. All rooms give access to the entrance, the bathroom and kitchen INDEPENDENTLY.

Bedding for 1 to 5 people :

- one large double bed (160x200) in the bedroom,

- one sleeper sofa for 2 persons (140x200 cm) in the living room,

- one inflatable bed for 1 pers.

- one baby bed.

The apartment is well laid-out, clean, comfortable, enlightened, well appointed.

The view overlooks the Salpêtrière's chapel.

One table for 4-5 people in the living room,

One small table for 2 persons in the kitchen or on the balcony.

The bathroom features a large bath.

Quaint apartment in great location!

We had a great stay at the apartment! Yvan was very welcoming even after he had to wait for us after a train delay! The apartment was easy to find and get to, right across from Gare Austerlitz. From Gare Austerlitz you can easily take the C train all along the Seine, and can reach Gare du Nord in about 15 minutes. The apartment was on the 6th floor and there is a little lift which was great to get our baggage up to the apartment (only fits 2 people comfortably). The apartment was quite large with more than enough room for 2 people - could probably comfortably have 4 adults stay there with some room to spare!) There was a lovely balcony, spacious bathroom, and all the things we could possibly need for our stay. The area has a lot of great restaurants (we enjoyed La Maison!), is right next to a Monoprix (grocery store), a park and the Seine. The only possible downside would be the noise from the station across the street, but Yvan warned us about it ahead of time, and we found it really didn't bother us. After all we were exhausted after long days sightseeing, so sleeping wasn't a problem! Great apartment. We would stay again!

Great location, supermarkets and restaurants nearby open late. Yvan's apartment was perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. Beds so comfortable. Ger Kriegel -Dublin.

Appartement fonctionnel et bien situé

Nous avons passé une semaine dans l'appartement avec notre enfant de 1 an et demi. L'appartement dispose de tout ce dont nous avions besoin et est vraiment très bien situé, proche du métro, de nombreux commerces et nous avons pu nous rendre à pied à de nombreux sites et quartiers touristiques. Yvan qui nous a reçu est très sympa et arrangeant. Pour les - : l'appartement a besoin d'un bon coup de peinture; le métro aérien juste en face peut être dérangeant.

Great value in great position

20 min walk along the seine to the Notre dame....great position opposite metro station, easy to check in and out. Owner had good English and fast with responses. Simple, almost sparse flat, but in Paris you don't need more than a bed and bathroom! Bath was great at end of long days walking. Small kitchen was functional. Sofa bed good for the kids. Would definitely stay again.

A Good Deal for Paris

This was a nice sized flat, with big windows and lots of natural light, and the amenities of the apartment were modern, with a well equipped kitchen. The building is well situated to the metro and trains, large parks and a 1/2 hour walk to Notre Dame. The grocery store, McDonalds, liquor and restaurants are within 2 blocks. The booking process, payments and key meet up went smoothly. Yvan speaks good English too, so communications went well too.

We were a bit disappointed with the balcony as the pictures represent a place to sit out and enjoy your wine. The plants have overgrown and the watering system has molded the floor of the balcony and its very small - so you don't want to go out there anyway. However, the plants make a nice natural screen and if you open up the big french patio doors and put the dining table in front of them, then you get an even better experience. Paris is noisy! On top of that this apartment is up the street from the hospital, near the police station and across from the train and metro lines. There is constant trains going by, ambulances and police cars with sirens going. There are several street people who reside nearby and they are also carrying on outside the flat at all hours. The flat can get pretty warm and we only had a fall/winter weight duvet, and it's impossible to sleep with the windows open with all the outside noise. So bring your earplugs! If you balance out the pros with the cons, there are more pros for this HomeAway property and it's a good value for Paris. If not for the noise we would give it a 5 star rating.
