Lovely, charming, tres chic

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in this beautiful apartment. It is centrally located within walking distance to markets, restaurants, bars, museums, etc. The rooms have high ceilings and tall windows. At night, it was very quiet, we always slept with our windows wide open. The kitchen is spaceous and well equipped. Francoise was so nice and very easy to communicate with. The apartment is on the third floor without elevator, though the steps are not very steep. We can highly recommend this place and hope we can come back some time soon.

We adored our stay in this flat!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and i spent our 10 days in June 2016 in this flat, and didn't want to leave. This is a dream flat; it is very spacious and immaculately clean. Francoise - the host -has used top quality linen, furnishings and accessories to create a wonderful home. She was a pleasure to liaise with, and was incredibly welcoming. The apartment is located in a wonderful building, directly in the historic centre; the entire historic centre is within easy walking distance. Very safe location. 300meters to the principal boulevard Cours Mirabeau. Walk to different markets every day, located at the end of the street. Leave your car in the paid car park Parking Bellegarde if you need it close by, otherwise, use one of the 4 Park'n'ride stations where you pay a nominal fee to leave the car in a secure car park and can ride the bus back into town. Closest one i found was Parc relais Aix Route des Alpes. Aix is a wonderful base to explore the Cote D'Azur, and the endless wonderful towns nearby.

Wonderful for a one-month stay for one couple and short-time visitors

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this super-clean apartment (the pictures are spot on) for one month, helping us enjoy our time in Aix. The fact that Cezanne resided in the building (when his mother lived there) was a wonderful bonus. The location is perfect (we liked the markets and the restaurants-especially La Mado and The Corner Bistro-both a block away). The apartment is open and airy (lots of windows to open onto Rue Americ David), giving us a chance to see the action on the streets. The master bed was comfortable. Our hostess provided us with clean linens every week even though we had a washer/dryer in the unit. We had a single woman join us for a few days and she enjoyed having her own shower. The fact that the unit has only one toilet might make the apartment a bit of a challenge for two couples. You'll be climbing 44 steps (two flights) to get to the unit, a consideration for some visitors. Still, we liked being able to keep our giant windows open all day long (in the month of September). Privacy and safety were definite bonuses. Overall we rate the unit with a five, but for two couples, we give it a 4.

  • 5 of 5

"The accommodation was well located near to the centre of Aix so sightseeing was easy. The flat was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was also very quiet. The only comment I would make is that we would have preferred the second bedroom to have had an outside window and the en suite shower was very small"

  • 5 of 5

"We rent apartments often, and this is perhaps the cleanest we've encountered on arrival so far. The apartment is beautiful, steps away from Cours Mirabeau and the market in front of the Palais de justice in Aix. The building is old and charming, but very well preserved at the same time. The amenities in the apartment all in good condition, the kitchen has everything you need and more. Nicely and tastefully decorated, this apartment was beautiful and more than large enough for a family of four. Mme Nazez, the owner, very nice, helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!"
