Good mid range accommodations

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for 10 days at this apartment. We were promptly met at the apartment and given the run down on all the amenities. Good price point for Paris.

Pros

WiFi with free local and international phone calls

Close to metro - Chateau Rouge

Close to Sacre Coure

Lot of space

Elevator - although very small but standard for this type of building.

Washer/Dryer

Close to Gare Nord if coming on Eurostar- we Ubered it for about 6 euros

Lots of cheap and well as tourist priced restuarants - do a Yelp

Cons

Needs a little maintenance

No room safe

Neighbors above above are a little noisy

Overall the apartment is a good value for the price point. All of Paris very accessible from this location.

A brilliant stay in a lovely city

  • 5 of 5

Everything went well here and we enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. Clean, well equipped, secure and quiet with very good owners who were helpful and communicative from booking to check in/check out. We would definitely book this apartment again.

Lovely flat in a fun nioghborhood

  • 5 of 5

This is a 1 bedroom flat that also comes with a futon/couch in the living room as well as a rolling cot. My wife, 2 daughters and I stayed here quite comfortably. It is a bustling neighborhood, with a handful of pubs/restaurants that spill out onto the street. Walking distance to the Sacre Coeur cathedral which also has many nice/small/intimate restaurants to choose from. Our usual method of dining is to get to a neighborhood, check Yelp on our phones and find something small nearby with good reviews. This trick worked well here as usual.

Was also able to get anywhere we needed as there were a few metro stops nearby depending on which direction we were looking to go.

Flat came with a simple kitchen that we could have cooked in had we chose to, but then again, we didn't come to Paris to eat in. Also had a combo washer/dryer (never saw a washer/dryer in the same unit before) so I was able to pack light and do laundry as needed.

Only things to warn of are, if you choose to do much cooking, the refrigerator is small (like a college fridge) with no ice. Internet was DSL so not the fastest but more than capable to checking email, looking up activities, booking tours, etc... Also, we came in via rail from London to Gare du Nord and chose to walk to apartment (about 25 minutes) following Google maps. That did have us go through a rough area, next time we'll Uber it.

I only personally met Nancy who was as nice as can be. English is not on her resume but was good enough for about 95% of what we had to discuss, a combo of words and charades. For anything we couldn't manage we texted her husband Mattia who filled in the rest.

Should we find ourselves booking another trip to Paris, I would not hesitate to book this flat again.

Served our needs for our family of five

  • 4 of 5

This apartment was exactly as advertised. The owner was great: she provided good communication and was there to meet us after our long cross-Atlantic flight. While the apartment is very small, it does successfully sleep five. We have two teens plus a pre-teen and honestly, we weren't sure how we'd all fit, but we did! The kitchen is fully functional. We made all our breakfasts here, plus one simple dinner during our stay. The rest of the time, we ate out. The neighborhood is busy and working class, and while we were a bit intimidated by it at first, as we speak almost no French, we found it to be perfectly safe and accommodating. The metro is close by, and we took it daily to get to all the Paris attractions we wanted to see. It was also nice to be near Sacre Coeur. We could easily walk up the hill there, and there are several nice cafes both at the bottom of the steps to the cathedral and at the top.

Be prepared for four flights of steep steps to the apartment (no biggie for us, but a bit tiring after long sightseeing days) and the small cons of an old building: there's a bit of a mildew smell throughout the building, and water tends to run hot and cold at will. These are small issues, but worth being aware of beforehand.

We really liked the views out the windows of the elegant buildings in the neighborhood, and there's a nice take-away spot downstairs where we got the kids burgers a few times. If you want a comfortable apartment that's a GREAT deal in Paris, this is your spot.

Great apartment for our budget!

  • 4 of 5

This apartment served all our needs, and Silvie was a lovely host. Everything was as described. Sacre Coeur is just steps away up the hill, and the metro station is a five minute walk. After rxploring the city, Montmartre wasn't our top favorite neighborhood, but stay here instead of in the Latin Quarter or in another higher end area saved us money in our budget. It slept the five of us, has a very functional kitchen, and the views of the surrounding buildings are pretty! We felt safe and it met all our needs.
