About Mary Ginty

I have worked in the hospitality industry for the past 20 years and like to think that my standards are high.

Mary Ginty purchased this apartment in 1995

Why Mary Ginty chose London

This apartment is my former home, very comfortable and very central. The street is very quiet but a short walk from the transport system to get you around town.

The Thames Clipper river bus is 5 minutes walk away and it is an amazing way to view the city and much cheaper than the tourist charter boats.

Wonderful visit to London!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with our two young children (nine and six years old) for a week in July. The apartment was clean, comfortable and very well located to hop on the tube or a double decker bus (a requirement by our nine year old). It was perfect for a family, close the grocery stores, and we even used the playground a block away. I enjoyed early morning walks along the Thames while the rest of the family got ready for the day. The apartment was well organized and had everything we needed, including toys and games for the kids to play. Vito and Mary were always responsive during the booking process and Vito was there to meet us when we arrived. We had no problems during our stay, and we would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay and will definitely stay here again when we return to London. We traveled with our two children (12 & 16) and the apartment was just right for us. Booking and responsiveness from Mary and Vito were great before we even arrived. Vito met us at the apartment and made sure we were settled in. We flew over night and were pretty tired and hungry when we arrived. Vito had a lemon cake, drinks and a few other nice items in the fridge - the perfect way to start our trip!

The location couldn't be better! We walked and jogged along the Thames which was so much fun. We also easily took the trains and buses to other locations that were too far to walk. There are some great local places to grab a bite, not just the chains in and around Vauxhall Station, but also a great Asian/Fish and Chips take out and a wonderful Indian restaurant on Harleyford Road. There is a coffee vendor along the Thames as we walked to Parliament that was really good as well and worth a short morning walk when you have time.

We thought the apartment was nicely furnished and had everything we needed. We watched football (soccer) and Wimbledon at night on the TV and all 4 of us could easily watch. We ate out many nights but were there for 10 nights so had a few nights in as well. The kitchen was just right for putting together a meal and there are two small food stores in Vauxhall Station for supplies. We also went to a Whole Foods on Glasshouse Street for a few ingredients we couldn't find in the local stores (but you can find almost everything in the smaller stores). Internet was fine and easy to use, beds were very comfortable and we slept very well!! While the location is busy, the street is amazingly quiet and the bedrooms were especially so. There is also a washing machine and for a 10 day trip that was really helpful. They have thought of almost everything you'll need from irons and ironing boards, drying rack for clothes, blow dryer, and nice big bath towels. You will need your own soap and shampoo.

This was such a great experience and we were so happy with the choice. The apartment lived up to all the five star ratings. Thank you Vito and Mary!

Very comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We stayed the first few days of June. Vito met us at the apt and was very friendly and helpful. Nice apt. Room to spread out. A quiet block off of a crazy busy intersection. All Transportation very close. It feels like you're not in the"heart" of London, which can be good or bad.

Great family apartment

  • 5 of 5

Just as advertised, a comfortable, quiet apartment within easy walking distance of major London attractions and the tube. Our family of four (two teens) enjoyed 6 days here. It's a two bedroom with a spacious living/dining room. We never felt crowded. Highly recommended.

Wonderful vacation!

  • 4 of 5

I don't usually write reviews but really wanted to say what a wonderful flat this is. We stayed here for 4 nights and had a grand time. The owner met us earlier than what he had expected, there was a beautiful lemon cake in the kitchen waiting for us, the flat was clean, modern and all set up with everything we needed, including the extra bed for the 3rd child. If you stay here, you don't need a car for anything. The metro station is a 5 minute walk as well as a little market. The neighborhood is beautiful and we felt safe walking all over. I plan to return to London and will for sure stay here again. It was the beginning of a great trip and we appreciate the owner's care of this place.

Fantastic flat, excellent location and great owners.

  • 5 of 5

We were met at the tube by the lovely Vito who escorted us the short walk to the flat. It literally is 3 minutes walk away which is invaluable after a busy day's sightseeing! The first thing we noticed about the flat was how clean it was. The flat was absolutely spotless and smelt fresh and inviting. Vito had kindly left our children Easter gifts plus had provided coffee, tea, fresh milk, fresh juice, biscuits, desserts and a gorgeous Easter cake to welcome us. Everything in this flat has been carefully thought out to make it the most pleasant stay possible. The beds were very comfortable and the living space was relaxing, with good lighting and attractive furniture. There are plenty of fluffy towels, copious hot water, good wardrobe storage, lots of door hooks, children's toys, London guidebooks and even umbrellas should it rain! The kitchen contained all the utensils required to make meals and again everything was so clean and well organised. We were grateful for the washing machine as we were staying for a week. Communication with the owners throughout the booking process and during our stay was prompt, courteous and informative. Vito and Mary are lovely people and they have taken great care to provide a beautiful flat. I would return in a heartbeat!
