Description

Photos and Description of this 5 bedroom holiday chalet in Saint-Sauveur

Prestigious lakefront property located a short distance to the picturesque Village of St-Sauveur and popular ski hills sits on a private one acre lot. This stunning home offers cathedral ceilings, a large covered balcony overlooking the lake which allows for bbqing even in the Winter, a private dock, wood burning fireplace, open concept kitchen with dinette, and an abundance of windows offering an amazing view of Lac-des-Becs-Scie.

Equally perfect for a Winter or Summer time stay, Saint-Sauveur is a veritable paradise for sports and recreation enthusiasts. Within a 10-15 minute drive to Mont Habitant, Mont Saint-Sauveur, Mont Avila, Morin Heights, Mont Gabriel and Mont Olympia there are plenty of ski slopes and snowshoeing trails to choose from. In the Summer there is nothing better than lounging on the dock and soaking up the sun, having a swim in the clear fresh water, going for a canoe or pedalo ride or taking a stroll through the Saint-Sauveur Village and enjoying one of the fine restaurants or a show. All this less than a one hour drive from Montreal!

Great chalet in St. Sauveur Area.

Chalet is exactly as described in rental information. All modern amenities. Ate in most of the time since BBQ on deck that could be enjoyed throughout the day and in the evening. Only point is that it is a steep incline to the lake and given it had rained the weeks before, made for a slippery walk down. Also, we were there during a very hot week, and recommend having a fan to have the air circulate in the rooms. For people going to the area, a car is recommended to appreciate all that the Laurentian's has to offer.

Lovely spot

  • 5 of 5

We rented this property for a group of six, including four adults and two teens. The layout was excellent, enabling us to give the two teens the lower level. They had plenty of space to themselves to set up their electronics. There was a bathroom and each had a bedroom, although there was plenty more space for sleeping bags. The upstairs features a beautiful main living area (with a wood burning fireplace), kitchen, three bedrooms and a very nice bathroom. The kitchen was well appointed. The deck was just beautiful, overlooking the lake.

It is a bit of a steep walk down to the lake, but the walk is rewarded with a beautiful dock for swimming, canoeing, and excellent fishing. The lake is quiet, especially during the week.

We found some very nice local restaurants, but ate in quite a bit, enjoying fresh trout from the lake.

The owner was very accommodating of special requests and the local caretaker was helpful when needed and invisible when not. We would not hesitate to rent this property again in the future.

Great place, exactly what we were looking for!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at this lakefront spot. As a family of 5 we decided to spend our summer holidays in Canada – a large trip from Germany. We chose this chalet based on its location direct at a lake not far away from Montreal (makes day trips easier). The pictures represent accurately what you will see when you arrive but in reality it is even much better than the pictures.

The house is spacious, well maintained and designed with welcoming and tastefully selected furnishings and has all the amenities you'd need for a great vacation. Our favourite area was the large covered deck overlooking the lake. The lake is beautiful. Water sport equipment (canoe, pedalo, stand-up paddle etc.) was provided for our use. Our 3 boys all enjoyed immensely.

We stayed there for two weeks and left wishing we could stay a couple more days. We consider doing the large trip again.
