Rene Constantino de Leon purchased this house in 2014
It has been specially prepared so you will feel at home with all services and attention you may require.
Personalized attention to make you feel at home. The house is within walking distance to all points of interest in Antigua Guatemala. The owner sees that all your needs and expectations are met. Additional services such as driver with a minivan to wait for you at the airport or take you to places of interest is also available ($30 each way tip included).
Rene was quickly responsive to all our questions and requests. The Casita is well appointed and it was great to have a full kitchen. We enjoyed cooking some meals "at home" with all the fresh food from the market. In addition, Rene went above and beyond leaving us some staples such as bread, milk, fruit, snacks and even a bottle of wine! Such a thoughtful gift to find after having travelled thousands of miles and all day from home. The property is a pleasant 15-20 minute walk from the square, so factor this is when planning your day in lovely Antigua. We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again sometime.
Rene, Thank you for letting us stay in your home. The house is beautiful and has all the necessities for a vacation home. I recommend this home for anyone that's looking into staying in Antigua Guatemala
My husband and I spent a week in Rene's casita in February. It was a great house and Rene didn't miss a detail! Anything we needed was there. Rene provided a list of names/numbers of transport and we had a great time with Hector, the Tuc Tuc driver. The Casita is an easy walk to the city center and the bicycles are great for getting around more quickly. The courtyard is very relaxing and the rooftop terrace provided great sunset and moonlight views! Awesome vacation-Can't wait to go back!
Rene, you are absolutely the best! This house is just wonderful, and yes. . . .soooooooo cozy! It has everything renters might need. I've rented in Antigua for years and this house has the most amenities. Had a wonderful stay and I would rather be there right now. Thanks, Rene!
My two adult children and I stayed in Rene's house for 2+ weeks in late Dec./Jan 2016. Of course, this a great time to visit Guatemala with dry and warm weather. The house was perfect for us with plenty of room for everyone to have private space. Rene made sure there was food and coffee to get us through our first day. There is always plenty of drinking water. The kitchen has all the necessities. Bathrooms were surprisingly stocked with full sized soap, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer and towels. Nice hot water! There is a washer and dryer in the house and I was happy to find a clothes line and clothes pins, as well. The property is very well groomed with an awesome covered picnic table on the rooftop terrace. This is a great spot for early morning and early evening reading and relaxing. We brought a couple of the garden chairs up to the terrace. Rene is the perfect host. We only needed to contact him a few times and he was gracious and very quick to respond. Because we were there over New Years we did have a bit of noise from fireworks that continued on for a few day. Guatemalans do love their fireworks! The street that the house sits on is a busy one, with traffic all throughout the day, but by mid evening things quiet right down. The distance to town was a perfect, direct-shot walk, taking about 10-15 minutes. We loved Rene's house and hospitality and I would highly recommend it for any couple or family visiting this beautiful old colonial town. Hopefully we will see you again, Rene!!
Our family of four fell in love with this home. We had breakfasts in the professionally gardened courtyard and some dinners on the rooftop terrace, watching the sunset over the mountains and volcanoes. Rene is a superb host and able to help with information, such as finding us a very reasonable transport to activities such as a volcano hike and a coffee plantation tour. The home is very comfortable with the amenities (including laundry!) that you'll need. Also located behind a hotel so when you want a great restaurant steps from your door, the hotel has it.
This cozy little house is located in one of the prettiest historic sections of Antigua. The Church of El Calvario is one block away. The house has 3 bedrooms and two full baths that can accommodate up to 5 people. The Kitchen is fully equipped. Services such as Cable TV and WiFi available.
