Beautiful historic building completely renovated with all modern amenities and elevator, the building is completely brand new inside, but with original facade outside on popular Huertas street, extremely close to Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofia Museums and the Palacio Real (Royal Palace), in historic downtown center of Madrid, the famous Barrio de las Letras.

Why Gorete Fieira Novack chose Madrid Center

Location, location, location! This is smack-dab in the middle of the historic Barrio de las Letras (Literature Neighborhood) very romantic, safe and with countless places to eat, people-watch, on a pedestrian street (no traffic).

What makes this apartment unique

The building was completely gutted a few years ago and they saved the facade and the 100 year old staircase, but everything else is brand-new modern construction and a modern elevator. We have furnished and equipped the apartment with everything we would like to find in a rental, we use VRBO ourselves when we travel so we understand that small details are paramount. Besides, we have lived in Madrid for over a decade, so we are happy to steer you to the best suggestions, whether they are restaurants, site seeing, shopping, trendy restaurants, family places or unique Madrid experiences depending on your date of travel.

This was a stunning apartment in a perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is located in a safe neighborhood, ideally located within easy walking distance to all the top sites or to metro stops for all the top sites. It is immaculately kept with every amenity one could possibly need or want, including a bottle of wine and cake upon arrival.

Great modern apartment in a fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four had a wonderful time in Madrid due in no small part to the high-quality, modern and centrally-located apartment we were able to stay in during our visit. We really appreciated the professionalism and thoughtfulness the owner put into making our stay a memorable one!

I have no reservations about recommending this apartment to anyone looking for a classy place to stay during a visit to the city.

Perfect apt and great location

  • 5 of 5

Great clean modern apartment in central Madrid easy to walk anywhere. Very quick to respond and very nice - had coffee, cake, water and wine waiting for us at our arrival. Also had a very helpful book for apartment and city recommendations. We followed the walking tour and loved it. Highly recommend. Plenty of room for me, my husband, and 3month old son. More room on sofa beds if needed. Thanks again!

Fantastic, spacious, light-filled apartment in the heart of Madrid.

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was spotlessly clean, flooded with light (from tall glass doors which both open onto small balconies), and wonderfully located.

We had excellent, clear communications before our arrival with our host Gorete, and with Alicia when we arrived.

The apartment is easy to get to (from either Antón Martín metro station or Sol) and is located in the beating heart of Madrid. There are restaurants and bars in all directions and plenty of shopping, including a pharmacy and a couple of supermarkets. There are several plazas within minutes walk which have a selection of restaurants, cafés and bars.

Despite being close to so much activity, it's pleasantly quiet inside. There are quite a few people on the street but we chose to close the balcony doors at night, (which are well insulated and seal very well) and had no problems sleeping.

There is essentially one room (with the bedroom screened off by the wardrobe) and a separate bathroom.

The ceilings are very high, which isn't really evident from the photos, but it makes the room feel spacious and light-filled. There's a small dining table and plenty of comfortable seating options.

The kitchen is small, but well thought out. There's an electric coffee maker (caffettiera style) and there was fresh ground coffee when we arrived. There is no dishwasher but we didn't miss it, since we were on holidays and happy to mostly eat out.

The bed is very comfortable. There's a separate air con unit in the the bedroom. There's one in the living area too but we mostly just used the single unit, even though it was very hot while we were in Madrid. There's plenty of wardrobe space and several pillow choices.

There's a washer-dryer integrated into the kitchen, European-style, which we found was excellent. We didn't use the dryer aspect, since there's a portable clothes rack for drying clothes. There's also an iron and ironing board.

The bathroom is compact, but again, well thought out. There's plenty of shelf space for two people to put their toiletries.

This is a wonderful apartment in a wonderful location. Our hosts were fantastic and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Fantastic place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful apartment in Madrid. It is central to everything that you might want to see in Madrid, as well as being close to many good restaurants and a great ice cream shop. Although close to everything, it is very quiet and we were able to come back anytime day or night to get out of the heat for a little while and rest without any disturbance from outside street noise. Alicia met us when we arrived and showed us everything, even though we were delayed quite some time at the airport because of lost luggage. She made arrangements for receiving the luggage the next day for us, so that we could go ahead with our plans for seeing Madrid. When we returned, our luggage was waiting for us. Everything about our stay was great, and without a doubt this would be our first choice for a place to stay next time we are in Madrid. We are a family of four, and our kids ages 13 and 9 slept very comfortably on the pull out sofas. All the services of a hotel and more, with the feeling of living in a real residence in Madrid. Perfect!

Location, location, location! The apartment is located in a historic building that was completely renovated a few years ago, so that the essence of the old was kept and all the modern amenities and comforts added.
