This is a spacious one bedroom apartment. Loved having a lift for the luggage! The sofa-bed and single bed are located in the "living room" area of the apartment; this layout should work for a family. We did not pull the sofa bed out to see if it was comfortable. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable.
The kitchen was well appointed for basic cooking. We only used it for breakfast, but I really enjoy not having to go out for breakfast. When I emailed because I couldn't find the American style coffee point, Luigi let me know that it had broken and that he would bring a new one by the apartment. His response was both prompt and courteous.
I've given this apartment 4 starts rather than 5 for a couple of reasons: 1) the apartment is very dark; the kitchen/dining area and the bedroom open onto an air shaft. Not uncommon, but we didn't open the windows because of noise and smell. The front room windows opened onto the street which would have been fine, except that the gelato shop across the street (great gelato by the way) ran its refrigeration compressor 24/7, so we didn't open the window to the street. The air conditioning worked fine, I just like to open my windows. 2) the apartment was relatively clean, but not pristine. Nothing to make me feel uncomfortable though.
The location is fantastic. We walked everywhere except to the train station and the airport. Loved walking out the door, around the corner to look up and see the Pantheon! Wow! There are several good places to eat. We stepped a block or two off the main Pantheon Square to find a couple of very good spots which is so nice after a long day of sightseeing.
I would recommend this place for its spacious interior, pleasant furnishings (think IKEA), gracious hosts, and fabulous location.
This location was the best for all sightseeing. You can walk pretty much everywhere. The apartment pictures on VRBO were exactly as pictured. We were only 2 people, but could have easily had 4 people with lots of room. We never even used the front room. I loved the kitchen as it was so spacious and had washing machine -- very helpful when traveling! I couldn't believe how quiet it was at night as it must have soundproof windows. The water pressure in shower was a little low, but not anything that would stop me from coming back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Rome. Carlo and Luigi were very responsive during the reservation process, and Carlo met our taxi the night we arrived for a quick and easy check-in. The apartment was clean, modern and very spacious offering plenty of room for our family with two children. The location is in close proximity to many of Rome's sights, and while the activity outside was lively during the day and evenings, the inside the apartment was very quiet. The lift to bring up our luggage and the air conditioning were welcomed bonuses. We loved being able to walk outside our door and be just steps away from quaint restaurants, shops and our daily gelato fix. I would recommend this apartment to friends traveling to Rome and would look into staying here again on future visits.
The apartment is ideally situated in the historic center of Rome. You can reach all attractions on foot from here. The apartment is quite large with good beds and is well equipped. The organization upon our arrival and departure went well and the owners were nice and helpful .Due to the view of the narrow road and the small backyard the apartment was not quite as bright. But it did not bother us because we were out all day in the lot of beautiful areas of Rome. We felt very comfortable in the apartment and loved the location near Pantheon. We enjoyed our stay in Rome very much and if we´ll come back we would like to take this flat again!
